FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

While driving, the engine suddenly shut off without warning. The first incident occurred in May 2025 and stalled twice in late August 2025. Each time I lost motive power and steering/brake assist dropped, I coasted to a safe spot, turned the ignition off and back on, and the vehicle restarted. In May, a shop retrieved P0087 – fuel rail/system pressure too low. They could not reproduce the problem, added DEF, and cleared the code. The issue has recurred. No crash or injuries. The Check Engine light was on in May; no other warnings were noted at the time of the stall. The vehicle is available for inspection and is being towed to a diesel specialist for diagnosis. Suspected area is the fuel delivery system (low rail pressure). Odometer: 47,500.

STEERING

2018 Jaguar F-pace power steering rack failure: Driving in heavy rain [XXX] on [XXX] entered a flooded roadway. The entire 4 lane roadway was flooded at the underpass. Thousands of cars in all 4 lanes passed through the flooded roadway at 10 MPH. The highway was backed up for miles. The water did not appear to be too deep (3 to 4 inches deep); however, water entered the steering rack and shorted out the electric steering and power steering failed, and warning came on that said “OK to drive with caution Power steering assistance reduced”, we then pulled off the road to see what had happened. My wife who was driving at the time could barely control the car as we exited the highway. Steering was difficult but I managed to make it home and parked the car. Since then, we brought it to our mechanic and he confirmed that electric power steering rack has failed due to water ingress and he could not do the repair. He provided a picture of the crack in the corroded aluminum casting. The car has not been repair so part is available for inspection at this time. After doing an internet search for similar problems we found that this is a known safety issue on F-Pace and Land Rover Valar since they share the same steering rack. There have been hundreds of these failures in US and Great Briton. There is a facebook page dedicated to this failure with over 1,300 members, all of which have reported this failure. “JLR Power Steering Alliance Group (Jaguar F-Pace & Range Rover Velar)” The car is not safe to drive, I had it towed to dealer. The steering is so heavy it would be very difficult to respond to and emergency with out power steering, which can fail at any moment if it gets wet. UNKNOWN OR OTHER

My vehicle was serviced 05/03/24, after the 60,000 whatever service, The Sewell dealership of N. Austin, literally has a video of them pointing out where there was an oil leak, they needed to fix, so of course, I agreed to them fixing the leak. Fast forward to [XXX], during which, I was driving, had no indication of any issues, then saw white/gray/smoke, pulled over, & then my car wouldn't start. The following conversation was exchanged from myself & someone named Ben, from the Sewell dealership in North Austin: [From Ben: I am not as familiar from the surface, but everything was explained in the video from the technician. The failed component is the bearing of the turbocharger which caused a major oil leak. This oil leak was the smoke you were seeing from the exhaust. We know for sure that the turbocharger will need to be replaced. The engine has a high likelihood of needing replacement as it was oil starved due to the major oil leak from the turbocharger. There is metal in the oil from inside the engine indicating internal failure from not having enough oil. From Me: which makes no sense, having just had all these things checked, back in May, with no indication of any leaks of anything other than what was shown.] ANDDD, which was supposedly fixed. I have the video footage of the technician doing a walk through in May of 2024, pointing out an oil leak, which I paid to have fix, but was later told I had no oil in my engine in July of 2024, without any warning. The car has not been drivable since, because I was quoted over 50,000 for the Turbo & Engine Replacement. I had 3 surgeries since December [XXX], which is why it's taken forever for me to do anything. However, I am STILL making payments on this vehicle. I read Jaguar Forums, & noticed I'm not the only person who has dealt with this EXACT issue, following Full Service approx 60 days prior. STEERING

I was driving my car and all of a sudden my steering wheel became extremely hard to turn, and a warning appeared on my dash saying “power steering assistance reduced”. It took all my strength to get around the next turn. Luckily I was near my home and was only a few turns from my driveway. My husband looked under my car and the steering rack was cracked. After investigating online, it appears to be a common defect among Jaguar F Paces, and the cracks occur in the same two places, one of which matched the crack on my vehicle.

The timing chain is the issues and yes it is available to inspect upon request. My safety has been put at risk because this snap at anytime. My car stalls and has really rough idling. Yes I have reported this rattle noise but I was told nothing was found, the noise got worse with the idling and I was told my car was out of warranty and the timing chain was breaking down.It started with the misfire, then rough idling and now the engine light. The rattling started and was first reported at 50k miles.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the complete lack of support I have received from Jaguar Land Rover North America following a devastating incident involving my 2018 Jaguar F-PACE (VIN: [XXX]). In January 2024, while driving my vehicle, it suddenly caught fire. This fire was caused by an issue that was the subject of a recall. My vehicle was scheduled to be serviced for this very recall just days later, but it did not make it to the appointment because it was completely destroyed. The fire department responded to the scene, conducted an investigation, and filed an official report, which I am prepared to provide for your review. After the incident, I reached out to Jaguar Land Rover North America, expecting assistance in addressing a fire that was clearly caused by a known defect. Instead, I was met with outright dismissiveness and disrespect. Executive Judianne Di Leo, in particular, showed a complete lack of concern, scolding me for copying other JLR executives on emails, refusing to help, and failing to direct me to anyone who could. During multiple phone conversations, I explained the severity of the situation, including the fact that I have developed asthma, breathing issues, and severe anxiety attacks as a result of the explosion. She dismissed my concerns and even laughed at me during one call before telling me to "get a lawyer." INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

POWER TRAIN

The first issue is the camshaft issue that had a recall on there and i was unaware because there wasn’t any notification sent by Jaguar or the nhtsa. When starting the vehicle it’s very hesitant and has a rough start & idle. Even once the vehicle starts it continuously has a rough feel as if the vehicle is putting or about to cut off. 2. The vehicle constantly loses power and sometimes won’t start. The battery has been replaced and the wires have been tested. When driving the entire vehicle starts to intermittently lose power and everything flickers on and off the entire time. 3. When searching my vehicle information it indicates there’s no open recalls however according to Jaguar corporate office there is an open recall but it’s not displayed on any search because the nhtsa hasn’t notified them.
