The contact owns a 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. The contact stated that upon routine tire service, there was an abnormal fuel odor entering the cabin of the vehicle through the air vents. The contact was informed by the mechanic at a local Firestone that the fuel line was leaking while the vehicle was running. No warning light was illuminated. An appointment with the dealer was scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

I own a 2020 Jaguar E-PACE (VIN: [XXXX]). At around 84,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a complete transmission failure that requires over $20,000 in repairs. This failure occurred despite multiple prior visits to the dealership for coolant-related warnings and repairs. The vehicle is less than 5 years old. I believe this may be a manufacturing defect affecting the powertrain or cooling system. The failure poses serious safety concerns, especially considering the sudden loss of power on the road. I request an investigation into this issue. •VIN: [XXX] •Mileage: ~84,000 •Dealer/City: Jaguar North Miami – 2300 NE 151st St, North Miami, FL 33181 Key history (summary): •Coolant warnings logged five times: [XXX] [XXX] (linked to water-pump leak/repair); [XXX]; [XXX]; [XXX]. •Documented repair: Water-pump replacement on 06/17/2022. *Please escalate this matter*: I cannot justify absorbing a $20,000 repair for what is clearly a manufacturer defect on a five-year-old Jaguar, and I don’t want this issue to end my relationship with the brand. A prompt intervention would go a long way in restoring my trust. Thank you for your time and leadership. I’m available anytime at the number below. 2019 JAGUAR E-PACE
ID: 2100974POWER TRAIN
Description of Incident: While driving on the highway, my 2019 Jaguar E-PACE suddenly and without warning lost power, putting myself and others at serious risk. The vehicle went into limp mode with no prior indication of any issues. Once the failure occurred, a warning message appeared on the dashboard stating “Gearbox Fault,” and the transmission temperature began to rise rapidly. This failure occurred during active highway travel, with no safe shoulder or emergency lane available due to nearby construction. I was nearly rear-ended as I attempted to safely navigate off the road. This incident could have resulted in a serious accident. The issue has been confirmed and reproduced by a certified Jaguar dealership, which has inspected the vehicle and verified the problem. The vehicle displayed no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. The safety risk this defect poses is extremely concerning, and I am requesting a full investigation into this matter. Component(s) Involved: Transmission / Gearbox System Available for Inspection: Yes, vehicle is available upon request Confirmed by Dealer: Yes Inspected by: Jaguar Dealership Warning Lamps/Symptoms Prior to Failure: None
