Purchased my car brand new. Within 1.5 years I've had to have 2 steering racks replaced and another component replaced within the steering column. Currently my lane keeping assist problem is on and I'm waiting to get appt confirmation from the service dept manager. My infotainment center went black and quit working and had to be replaced a little over a year after purchasing the car. The paint began peeling off my front bumper within 6 months of purchasing the car. I'm currently dealing with the Honda I purchased from to try to come to a resolution of this issue since I don't want my brand new car to have a bumper repainted and possibly not match and have it show up on a carfax report. Also have what the dealership calls "fisheyes" under the clear coat of the factory paint. Approx 20-25 spots on my entire car. The dealership said they could "buff" the places but shouldnt have left the factory in that condition. The body shop that Honda sent me too said once they started buffing on the "fisheyes" that they couldn't guarantee that the buffing of the spots would correct the issue or if they would need to repaint which I'm not ok with since it is a brand new car and paint might not even match the rest of the car. Also', I should add that all the maintenance and repairs have been completed at the dealership where I purchased my car brand new.

I was driving on an expressway 355 on Friday July 25. It was raining hard. I slowed down and was getting ready to exit on 55 when the lights On the dash all started lighting up and telling me it required immediate attention at the dealer. The car would not accelerate. I was going slow and was able to idol to the space between 355 and 55. There were cars all around me. I put my hazards on and turned it off. I waited a minute and restarted it. Luckily it started and I was able to drive. This happened on an expressway during a storm I was terrified and worried that I would cause an accident by not being able to move the vehicle. This happened once before also while raining but was in a parking lot of a gas station. I took it in and they told me it’s the 12V battery. However was not failing while at dealer. This is a serious safety issue.

I am writing to report a recurring issue with my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The interior rear-view mirror has detached multiple times from the windshield under normal conditions and adjustments. This poses a safety concern, as it obstructs proper rear visibility and could become a distraction while driving due to the detachment. I believe this issue warrants further investigation to determine if it is isolated or part of a broader defect. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I purchased my Honda accord June 21, 2024. For the first 3 months, the brake system indicator rectangle shape amber light (blinked on and off for several seconds) on 8 separate occasions when driving this car, so I brought the car to Honda Dealer that concluded it must be dust on the brake For the next 3 months, the brake system indicator rectangle light (blinked amber on and off) on 6 separate occasions, the Honda Dealer told me they could not find a problem with the brake, For the next 4 months, the brake system indicator rectangle light (blinked amber on and off) on 3 separate occasion , again the Honda dealer told me they could not find a problem but I noted that the dealer did not have record this on the work order. I then called Honda customer service (800-999-1009) support on June 23, 2025 at 1:17pm. I told the representative that the 2024 owners manual on page 84-85 did not have an amber brake indicator message among the 30 or so indicators in the manual. On page 493, the manual also mentions "If the brake system indicator (RED) comes on or blinks, there is a malfunction in the brake system" On page 494, the manual also mentions "if the brake system indicator (RED) comes on or blinks at the same time when the brake system indicator (AMBER), release the parking brake. The representative could not explain what a blinking amber brake system indicator meant and I should return car to the Honda dealer. Upon my insistence, my call was escalated and that a senior representative agreed that an blinking amber brake indicator explanation is not in the Owners Manual and could not provide me with an answer. Her best guess was that I was to close to a car in front of me (even though this has happened when there was not car in from of me). Purchase New Delivery date: August 13, 2024 On Saturday June 7, 2025 after temperatures reached 93⁰ I noticed a cracking in windshield starting from plastic cover near windshield wipers. The cracking rapidly spread upward which is currently about 8 inches in length. This windshield hasn't been struck by any object. If windshield is replaced with any windshield other than a OEM from Honda it will void warranty on camera system. To replace with a OEM from Honda I was quoted over $2,000.00. This cracking has started due to poor materials used in the production of windshield or is either too thin. There is numerous reports of such on Honda 11th generation forums.

This has to do with the wireless phone audio system. The quality is extremely poor as the internal microphone seems to pick up every sound in and outside of the car. There appears to be zero filtration of outside noise. This is a safety problem as it forces the driver to pick up their phone in order to use the speaker.

I was driving down the highway when my sunroof exploded out of no where. No debris hit my vehicle. The explosion was extremely loud and spontaneous. My safety was put at great risk as there is nothing I could have done to prevent this problem. As I am going 75 miles an hour with vehicles behind me, my glass exploded. This glass could have fallen onto me while driving, seriously injured ,or even, and killed me. Luckily my sun shade was closed. The debris from my shattered sunroof could have seriously injured the vehicle behind me.

My accord has an EPS gearbox recall. Causing problems with steering. The issue has been confirmed by Honda dealership. I’ve researched the issue, it could cause the vehicle to lose steering control and crash. I started hearing a loud springy/scraping noise about a week and a half ago. I took my vehicle to Pat Peck Honda (Gulfport, MS) the next day. Today I was at the dealership for 5 hours, they claimed they fixed the issue. After leaving, my car is making the same noise. Worried for the safety of myself and my child. The dealership stated they cannot give me a loaner, yet they have not fixed the issue.

On March 4, I took my car in for the high pressure fuel pump recall and was under the impression that it was replaced. On May 7 my car caught on fire two minutes after exiting the vehicle. It was confirmed by a fire inspector that it was the high-pressure fuel pump that caused the fire. There was no warning lights or anything to give warning that the vehicle was malfunctioning. I feel I was put at risk because if I would have had to stop at a stoplight, the car would’ve caught on fire with me in it. I also drive my grandchildren around with me a lot of the time, but on this date, I had no children with me. Honda has not responded or assigned a case manager to the incident and it’s been two weeks.

December 2024, I received a recall notice from Honda that the fuel pump on the car make be defective. A couple weeks later I smell a strong gas odor inside the car. it was towed to the local Honda dealer and inspected. The pump was tested but showed no signs of cracking under pressure. Honda is claiming that they have fulfilled their obligation and is not going to replace the pump. When asked if they would guarantee that it would not fail in the future, they would not. Just because it hasn't failed yet, doesn't mean it won't. I believe that it is Honda's responsibility to replace this pump with one they know was not improperly made.

While driving the vehicle, usually while passing another vehicle, it slams on the brakes suddenly and decelerates rapidly. I suspect it has something to do with how it reads it's surroundings. When it happens, which is without warning, the BRAKE light comes on the dash. It has happened multiple times but recently it was a close call with another vehicle behind me on the interstate. Which is why I'm taking the time to report this. I have not had it inspected.

The steering wheel sticks in either direction when driving. It makes it difficult to drive straight on the turnpike especially on the tighter sections of the road. Making small corrections becomes difficult when the steering wheel sticks and I end up snapping back and forth on the lanes. I have brought the issue up to the dealer twice a year apart and they won't confirm the issue because the computer didn't flag anything. Previously about a year ago I told the dealer about the steering issue but they didn't know what was wrong and then a few months later the recall for the steering was issued. I assume its the same issue but the Honda accord model is missing from the recall list.
