The 2018 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ENDEAVOR has 2 complaints and 5 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners frequently report issues with the interior door lock becoming stuck and difficult to unlock, causing safety concerns about potential entrapment. The lock problem required an improvised fix involving zip tying the lock to the door handle.
Common Issues
- Door lock failure. The indoor turning lock on the main entry door often jams overnight and requires significant force to unlock. This problem caused fear of being trapped inside the motorhome.
The 2018 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ENDEAVOR has five recalls affecting electrical wiring, HVAC equipment, exterior lighting, and satellite dish mounting. These recalls target safety defects that could increase fire risk, electrical shorts, headlight failure, and hazards from loose components.
Recalls
- HVAC potentiometer wiring. NHTSA recall 18V183000 affects 600 vehicles. Wires for the Aurora HVAC system potentiometer may disconnect and be reconnected incorrectly, increasing fire risk. Dealers will inspect, solder wires, or replace the control panel at no cost. The recall started May 14, 2018.
- Satellite dish mounting. NHTSA recall 18V202000 affects 2055 vehicles. Satellite dish mounting screws might not fasten through reinforcement, allowing detachment while driving, increasing crash or injury risk. The remedy is resecuring the dish with metal reinforcement. The recall started May 14, 2018.
- 12-volt harness connectors. NHTSA recall 17V829000 affects 347 vehicles. Water can enter connectors causing electrical shorts and crash risk. Dealers will install gaskets and reroute affected harnesses free of charge. The recall started February 15, 2018.
- Headlight lenses. NHTSA recall 17V477000 affects 219 vehicles. Some headlamp lenses lack tempered glass and may crack or break, reducing illumination and increasing crash risk. Dealers will inspect and replace defective lenses. The recall began September 8, 2017.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs or unresolved recall issues related to safety defects might have rights under their state lemon law. Consulting a consumer protection attorney may help clarify these rights.

We lock the door to our motorhome via the indoor turning lock every night. In the morning the door would not unlock. It took a lot of jiggling to finally open it. To keep it from happening again we zip tied the lock to the door handle as shown in the picture attached. We live in the motorhome and were fearful of entrapment since that is the only man door
