Battery goes dead. Motorcycle would not start. Dealership has no idea what happened. Fuel pump issues on this model as well as electrical issues. The manufacturer has made modifications on the 2024 and newer models. They should replace all of the defective parts.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Harley Davidson did not coat the inside of the Fuel Tanks on the Panamerica from the 1st model year in 2021 until the mid-2024 model year. Because of these uncoated fuel tanks, people are experiencing a high rate of fuel pump failures at low mileage (5-10K) due to the interaction of the ethanol in today's fuels, and the uncoated aluminum motorcycle gas tanks. Harley Davidson essentially acknowledged the mistake by starting to coat the inside of the fuel tanks from the mid-2024 model and on. A new Fuel Pump from Harley is $400 here in CA, and that does not include installation, which requires the removal of the entire fuel tank. In the end, the fuel pump issues which is a direct result of Harley's lack of coating the inside of their tanks is nearly a $1000 repair for a motorcycle that cost $20,000 new. The government needs to make Harley Davidson fix this for all the people who purchased these motorcycles between 2021 and 2024.

Fuel pump and filtration System filter getting plugged and creating a fuel starvation, not allowing for more than 50% power. Created an issue of merging and accelerating into traffic and the need to maneuver and speed up to avoid dangerous situations or diminished or our are actually gone as the bike will totally cut out and stop running. That occurrence of the vehicle cutting out has occurred several dozen times The belief is in the community for Panama Harley Davidson motorcycles. There’s a nonreplaceable fuel filter that is getting plugged up due to a fuel tank made out of aluminum that has not been sealed and is reacting to ethanol fuel, causing contaminants..

Fuel pump has become excessivily loud to the point of you have to turn up the radio volume in helmet to hear music. During start up the noise is very loud as to someone raising their voice levels. Harley Davidson Dealer states that until the pump finally fails they will not fix or replace.

There is an issue with the alcohol in the fuel, causing degradation within the fuel tank and leaving corrosive deposits in the filter screens within the fuel pump, causing the fuel pump to fail. The fuel pump was replaced in the summer of 23 and I now have another fuel pump failing this date January 17, 2025.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I was participating in a funeral procession ride for a fallen fellow law enforcement officer with approximately 20 plus riders. During the procession I was riding my motorcycle at highway speeds of 75 mph when my motorcycle shut off completely. Luckily I was able to alert the riders around me and I was able to pull over to the shoulder. At the highway shoulder, I was able to restart my motorcycle and resumed the ride. A few hours later, I was almost home when my motorcycle shut off again in the same manner at busy intersection. This time I was stopped at a red light, when it turned green, I travelled a few feet when it happened. I was in the left lane of the light, when i experienced the failure other cars immediately began to swerve around me until I once again motioned for the drivers around me to stop so I could push my motorcycle to safe spot. I restarted the motorcycle a few minutes after and continued to my house where it has been parked since the date the incidents occurred which was on [XXX]. Internet research into the symptoms of failure my motorcycle experienced led to what may possibly be a faulty Body Control Module (BCM). I will soon be taking my motorcycle to the local Harley Davidson dealership for accurate diagnosis of the failure. I have lost trust in the safety of my motorcycle as a result of this major possible electrical failure. I own a 2022 Harley Davidson Pan America, I purchased the motorcycle in new condition at the Corpus Christi Harley Davidson dealership in Corpus Christi, TX. Multiple fuel pump failures. Being left stranded or disabled on the highway. this is a known issue on this bike and no remedy has been provided or devised.
