2025 GRAND DESIGN LINEAGE Complaints and Recall Information
The 2025 GRAND DESIGN LINEAGE has 1 complaint and 5 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report the engine dying while driving, accompanied by a "Low Fuel Pressure" warning and Check Engine light. Repair attempts have included component replacement with documented diagnostic trouble codes. The engine failure causes loss of power steering and brakes, making it difficult to safely pull over.
Common Issues
- Engine stalling. The engine dies unexpectedly during operation, triggering a low fuel pressure alert and Check Engine light illumination.
- Power loss on stall. When the engine shuts down, power steering and power brakes become inoperative, posing safety risks when stopping the vehicle.
- Repeated repairs. Service centers have replaced or overlaid parts to address the issue but the problem persists.
There are 5 recalls affecting various systems of the vehicle, including door mechanisms and electrical components. These recalls address risks related to emergency egress and potential fire hazards.
Recalls
- Door latch mechanism. NHTSA 25V473000 affects 625 units with Lippert Modularia entrance doors. The door latch may fail, preventing occupants from exiting during an emergency and increasing injury risk. Dealers will install a new retainer clip and secondary retainer at no charge. Owner notifications began September 12, 2025. No "Do Not Drive" or "Park Outside" advisory applies.
- Engine block heater wiring. NHTSA 24V863000 affects 48 motorhomes. Incorrect installation of the battery warming pad can damage wiring and cause an electrical short, increasing fire risk. Dealers will replace the warming pad free of charge. Owners were notified starting December 6, 2024. No driving or parking restrictions apply.
Owners facing repeated engine stalling or unresolved recall issues may have rights under state lemon laws. Those dealing with safety defects should review options available to them under applicable consumer protection statutes.
