- Parking brake valve leak. Recall 24V335000 covers 220 vehicles. A rubber ball seal in the Intellipark Park Valve Module can fracture, causing leaks that lead to park brake failure or unintentional engagement while driving. This creates a crash hazard. Dealers replace the valve module free of charge. Notifications were mailed August 2, 2024.
- Electronic stability control issue. Recall 23V299000 includes 266 vehicles. The combination of electronic stability control and certain tires may produce understeer during a J-turn, failing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 136. This may increase the risk of loss of control and crash. DTNA replaces tires free of charge. Owner notifications were mailed June 19, 2023.

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Freightliner 108SD, 2022-2025 Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner Business Class M2, 2025 Freightliner eM2, 2020-2025 Western Star 49X, 2021-2025 Western Star 47X, and 2022-2025 Western Star 57X vehicles that may be upfitted with a body lighting interface controller and replacement brake lights. The brake lights may not illuminate when the brakes are automatically applied during an active brake assist (ABA) event.
Risk: Brake lights that fail to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain short wheelbase 2020-2024 Freightliner Cascadia, 2021-2024 Freightliner M2 Business Class, 2022 Western Star 4700, and 2020 Freightliner Classic Cascadia vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with an electronic stability control system and tire combination that may understeer during a J-turn. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles."
Risk: Understeering during a J-turn may increase the risk of a crash.
