1280726 vehicles affected
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles. The front brake hoses may rupture and leak brake fluid.
Risk: A brake fluid leak will increase brake pedal travel and extend the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
2016 FORD FUSION
2925968 vehicles affected
POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION (PRNDL)
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2019 Escape, 2013-2018 C-Max, 2013-2016 Fusion, 2013-2021 Transit Connect, and 2015-2018 Edge vehicles. The bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission may degrade or detach.
Risk: A damaged or missing bushing may prevent the vehicle from shifting into the intended gear, and cause the vehicle to move in an unexpected direction. Additionally, the vehicle may roll after the driver selects the 'Park' position. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash or injury.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Fiesta, 2014-2016 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles sold, or ever registered in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A component within the door latches may break making the doors difficult to latch and/or leading the driver or a passenger to believe a door is securely closed when, in fact, it is not.
Risk: A door that is not securely latched could open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant.
2016 FORD FUSION
116160 vehicles affected
STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, 2015-2016 Ford Edge, and 2016 Lincoln MKX vehicles originally sold, or currently registered in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Road salt or other contaminants may corrode the electric power steering gear motor attachment bolts.
Risk: If the bolts corrode, the steering gear motor may detach from the gear housing resulting in a loss of power steering assist, requiring a greater steering effort, especially at lower speeds, and increasing the risk of a crash.
2016 FORD FUSION
259182 vehicles affected
POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:FLOOR SHIFT
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Fusion vehicles equipped with 2.5 liter engines. The bushing that attaches the transmission shifter cable to the transmission may degrade over time and cause the bushing to detach from the transmission. The condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to Park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in Park, with no warning message or audible chime.
Risk: If the vehicle is exited without the transmission being in Park and without the parking brake being applied, the vehicle may unexpectedly move, increasing the risk of a crash.
2016 FORD FUSION
1301986 vehicles affected
STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fusion vehicles. The steering wheel retaining bolt may loosen allowing the steering wheel to detach while driving.
Risk: A steering wheel detachment can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
2016 FORD FUSION
504182 vehicles affected
POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:FLOOR SHIFT
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2014 Ford Escape, and 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles, equipped with six-speed automatic transmissions.

SEATS
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2016 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured from March 10, 2016, through March 16, 2016. The front driver seat track assembly's rear riser may have been improperly welded to the seat track rail, and as a result, the driver may not be adequately restrained in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Risk: An improperly welded driver seat riser may fail to adequately restrain the driver during crash, increasing the risk of injury.
2016 FORD FUSION
603392 vehicles affected
SEAT BELTS:FRONT
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured November 2, 2012, to July 31, 2014, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 14, 2012, to July 31, 2014. In the event of a crash, heat from the deployment of a seat belt pretensioner may cause a front seat belt anchor cable to fail.
Risk: If the driver or front passenger seatbelt cables cannot properly restrain the front seat occupants, they would be at an increased risk of injury.
2016 FORD FUSION
658 vehicles affected
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2016 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured September 3, 2015, to September 13, 2015, and 2016 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured September 3, 2015, to September 12, 2015. The affected vehicles have a fuel tank that may have insufficent wall thickness. As a result, the fuel tanks may crack in the event of a crash and thus the vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 301, "Fuel System Integrity."
Risk: A fuel tank that cracks may leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

The backup camera on our 2016 Ford Fusion has worked intermittently for quite some time now. (Couple of years at least.) Sometimes when we shift to reverse we get a black display screen, sometimes we get a distorted image, sometimes we get a message saying no camera is available, other times it works normally. The symptoms sound like the ones described the vehicles that are involved in the current rearview camera recall. I had seen rearview camera recalls for Ford products in the past and expected our car to be covered eventually since the symptoms sounded so similar. We have not taken it for repair at our dealer as we have been waiting for a recall. Reporting it now in the hopes that the recall will be expanded to other models that seem to have similar safety issues.

My complaint is, why does my 2016 Ford Fusion 1.5L 4-Cylinder EcoBoost Engine continue to be excluded from these major recalls? It's not fair as I deserve to have my engine, clock spring, & my rear view camera replaced just like the other Ford vehicles! I purchased my 2016 Fusion in 2018 & only a couple of years later I started having problems with the rear view camera but the dealership said that it wasn't covered under the warranty. I have always smelled engine coolant & oil but was always told that there is nothing leaking on the ground so there's nothing to worry about. Also I reached out to you guys in 2024 with the Gmail address of [XXX] ) about my steering wheel clock spring & never heard anything back, so I purchased a new one on [XXX] & replaced it myself when it arrived. Also earlier that day, I had my valve cover replaced at Brad Howell Ford in Kokomo, IN because I have been constantly losing oil & smelling oil burning. Even after that, I continued to smell oil & engine coolant but still get told that there's nothing leaking. Well my next oil change after that, I told them to check again because I had to add more oil, & that's when they determined that it was the turbo drain tube, which they replaced on Nov.5, 2024. That stopped the oil smell, but I continued to smell engine coolant which I continued to report to them, & at each oil change, they continued to top off the engine coolant. On Aug. 12, 2025 Brad Howell Ford decided to run a camera down into my cylinders & discovered that there's oil & coolant leaking down into my #2 cylinder. I contacted Tonia Frataccia, Customer Experience Specialist, Ford CX/Team, & I was told that my VIN# didn't make the recall list & that's why my engine wasn't replaced. It's not fair as my vehicle has the same defective engine & parts as the other recall vehicles & I deserve to have my car repaired also at Fords expense. Please help me, I need my car. Thank you for listening. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

A few years ago our camera on our 2016 Ford fusion started acting up. Going in and out, sometimes blank. I actually filled a complaint out before. I have noticed recalls on cameras but not our vehicle or even year. Now I saw one yesterday or this morning that listed my year but not model. I forgot to mention above that it also goes completely opposite. This is a major issue and concern. It has almost caused accidents especially in parking lots. No incidents YET. People love walking behind cars backing out and this is a deadly combination waiting to happen

The 1.5l engine is having known issues with coolant intrusion into the engine under 100,000 miles. Many people are bringing up their issues staying ford is confirming the mass amount of engine issues with intrusion and quoting $6,000 for new engines. This is absurd because these vehicles should not have an engine known to fail at 100,000 because of leaking coolant into the cylinder. I started losing coolant at 90,000 miles and having to fill it back up.

Seemingly randomly all center console functions and door functions shut off (no a/c / heat, can't roll down/up windows, outside ambient temp and can't unlock/lock doors from inside buttons (key still works as well as door handle unlock / speed lock) can be hazardous in even mild temp as interior heats up quickly without air flow. Other non-important functions that stop working include radio/stereo and back-up camera. Research points possibly to bcm apim miscommunication or improper grounding.

The trunk opens on its own intermittently. When I try to close the trunk, it will not stay closed and a clicking sound can be heard. This has been going on for almost three years. I took the vehicle to our family mechanic, and he drove my vehicle for 30 days to run shop errands hoping the trunk would open and he could determine the malfunction. Unfortunately, the trunk did not mysteriously open for him. I have even had the trunk open when I was not home and a neighbor called to alert me. The trunk would not stay closed, so I directed them to place a piece of heavy lumber on the trunk to keep the trunk at least in the down position. When I begin to drive the car, the trunk will open on its own. I'm deathly afraid the trunk will open while I am traveling on the highway and is a safety issue.

Lug nuts are swollen and need replacement. Ford service department informed me that lug nuts are aluminum clad steel and over time swell and are unusable. Further informed that this is a common problem with ford products, but ford will not replace the lug nuts. Safety risk: Consumer would be unable to remove & reuse factory original lug nuts if a tire replacement were necessary away from a ford service facility. This condition is only diagnoseable when attempting to remove the lug nuts for service. I feel that any competent engineer could foresee that mixed metal will develop an electrolytic reaction and, further, that ford willingly continues this practice.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while stopped in traffic or at a red traffic light on several occasions, on the way to an independent mechanic, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart on each occasion after several attempts. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the independent mechanic and turning the vehicle off, the vehicle failed to restart. The mechanic diagnosed that the unknown sensor parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred a few months later. The vehicle was taken to the same independent mechanic on three occasions, where a tune-up was completed, and unknown parts were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with coolant intrusion into the cylinder due to a crack in the engine block. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

My coolants been leaking starting at around 110k miles and it seems like the 2016 ford fusions with 1.6L are know to have coolant intrusions due to a defect in engineering by Ford. This problem eventually leads to corroded head gaskets and can cause the engine to basically explode in the middle of nowhere which is a safety concern. The costs of repair is over 4k+ for a new engine or just to replace the head gasket for something Ford engineers should be liable for. Please look into this and you may even look at my car if you like.

Dear NHTSA, I am reporting a potential safety and design issue related to my 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle is experiencing coolant loss with no visible external leak, which is a documented issue under Ford TSB 19-2208. This condition can lead to sudden engine failure or hydrolock due to coolant entering the combustion chamber. A compression test revealed all cylinders at 155 psi, indicating the block has not yet failed — but the symptoms are known warning signs of the defect Ford acknowledged in its Customer Satisfaction Program 19N05, which does not include my VIN despite identical failure risk. Ford has refused to provide goodwill support under case [XXX], despite this being a well-known failure that has prompted engine replacements in other affected 2.0L EcoBoost models. Please document this case as part of your ongoing safety tracking. I believe this design flaw represents a serious long-term reliability and safety concern. The shifter cable bushing failed after being replaced under recall 7 years ago. When leaving a parking spot and trying to shift into drive my shift lever started to move freely and my digital PRNDL display was all white letters (usually the selected gear is lit up orange). No warnings displayed on my dash. I sensed something was wrong so I applied the parking brake and shut off the engine. I’m thankful this happened when I was leaving a parking spot and not when I was parking my car and getting out (potentially causing the car to roll away with my kids running behind the car on my hilly driveway). This is a known problem that Ford has issued multiple recalls for in the past. My car was covered by one early recall in 2018 (I will upload the Carfax service history showing date and mileage of 2018 recall repair). An orange plastic shifter bushing was installed under recall in 2018. This bushing disintegrated eventually, leading to the problem I experienced a few days ago. I will upload pictures of the orange plastic debris scattered on top of my transmission. (these pictures include a temporary repair that was made after the failure occurred- shifter was reattached with zip ties in order to reposition the vehicle for service). Ford has since developed updated repair parts (a yellow plastic bushing and a plastic cover to keep contaminants off the bushing) for later recalls that affected different trims/configurations of the Fusion. I had to go to the dealer and buy those updated parts myself, which I installed so that I could continue driving my car to work (I will include pictures of repairs). I feel like Ford should be upgrading the earlier recalled vehicles with these latest and greatest parts. My car was fixed under recall and then experienced the very failure the recall was supposed to address. My car has about 245,000 miles on it. The initial recall repair was performed at about 88,000 miles. After about 7 years and 156,000 miles the recall repair failed.

The engine coolant over temperature light came on and i was forced to pull off the side of the interstate because the car had lost most of it’s power. It’s my understanding the 1.5 L eco boist engines have a failure where they allow coolant to leak into the cylinder. We had the car looked at, let it cool down and the code cleared and drove home. This happened again and luckily we were close to a family members home and were able to limp the car there with very little power. The car was checked by a mechanic and they could not find a problem. The code was cleared and it drove fine again. Today the car did the same thing after a 30 minute drive and luckily we were close to home and once again limped it back to the house. I will be calling Ford in the morning to have it looked at.

I own a 2016 Ford Fusion and the brake pedal stop bumper disintegrated and fell onto my floorboard. As a result, my brake lights stayed on, draining my battery. When I tried to drive, my car would not accelerate over 20 mph, and I barely made it home safely. I where it's extreme humid and salty air are constant, the same conditions identified in Ford’s 22S02 recall. Ford has stated my vehicle is not included, but this is a clear safety hazard identical to the recall issue. I request that NHTSA investigate and include my vehicle in the 22S02 recall.

rear view camera works ( sometimes ), The rear view camera worked fine for years, but I brought the car in for basic service at the Ford Dealer > oil change, tire rotation, fluids topped off > and after this repair, my rear view camera wasn't working.. I brought it back to the dealer, and they claimed what they did had nothing to do with the rear-view camera.. The service manager said a new camera would cost $ 800, but they would do the repair for $ 500 ( which seemed odd, but that's a story for another day ). Regardless... with all the news I'm reading about Ford recalls, including rear view cameras... I feel this rear view camera issue started years before they think, or will admit to, and should be investigated. I can bring my car into any nearby location for inspection if requested.

When in reverse the backup camera glitches sometime, it doesn’t even come on. There’s a knocking under the hood. I’ve been told that is the fuel pump . After getting gas and trying to turn the ignition back on it stalls, it takes sometimes 3 to 4 tries before getting it started. After having repairs done to brakes, tires, and more, the ABS light is still on and sometimes the brakes act like they don’t wanna stop. I only have a picture where the camera is not working. It’s glitching. I’ve taken it to shops, but forgot to get the invoice to know in reference to everything else that’s going on. I haven’t made any repairs yet that’s in the works.

My 2016 Ford Fusion SE 2.0L Turbo has been emitting some white smoke, then the other day it would not start right away. When started it ran rough for a few minutes on idle and when driving it does not have much power anymore and it would hesitate a lot if trying to accelerate. SO getting on the interstate that morning I nearly got rear ended by a semi-truck because I could not accelerate up to speed. The check engine light came on shortly and I took it to a mechanic who did tests to diagnose. The diagnostic showed misfiring in cylinder 2 most likely due to coolant intrusion. After doing some research it was evident that many owners have had this happen and had to replace their entire engine for 6000+ dollars. My car only has 114,000 miles on it and it should function properly. I have seen cars with 250,000+ miles easily.

purchased a used vehicle. At the time of purchase, there were no visible issues with the car. However, approximately 20 days later, a significant jerking and knocking problem related to the transmission appeared. Due to this issue, I stopped using the vehicle for a while. After consulting with a mechanic, I was informed that the transmission needs to be replaced. As of now, the car is struggling significantly to move. When I turn the ignition, the engine starts, but the vehicle does not move. If I turn the ignition off and restart it, it may move slightly after shaking the vehicle, but then it quickly stops and displays an error again. In this condition, the vehicle is not drivable. Unfortunately, the person I bought the car from refused to accept any responsibility or take the car back, despite my clear communication about the issue. Additionally, the following issues have also started to occur: The steering wheel becomes stiff suddenly. This resolves temporarily after turning the ignition off and on again. The brake pedal sometimes vibrates as if it’s losing pressure. I can clearly feel this under my foot while braking. Sensor malfunctions have also started to appear. The current condition of the vehicle poses serious safety and functionality concerns. Unfortunately, I am not financially able to cover any additional repair costs. Therefore, I would like to know if there is anything legally or technically that can be done regarding this matter. Otherwise, I will be forced to sell this vehicle as scrap. Thank you in advance for your support and assistance. Sincerely,

I purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion S new from the dealership in 2016. Earlier this year, multiple indicator lights turned on including "Service AdvanceTrac", ABS light, steering and hill assist lights. As time progressed, the Power Steering has become more of an issue to a point now that it is difficult to make tight turns going at low speed. I never received a recall notice, but when I did a search of the 2016 Ford Fusion S vehicle, there is an outstanding recall on similar models in 19V632000. The list of states include the state of Missouri which is where the vehicle was purchased from. At the time the recall notice was sent out (August 28, 2019), the vehicle would have been registered in Kansas. A search by the VIN number does not show a recall notice for it. Presently, the vehicle is registered in Iowa. I hope to get review of my VIN number to see if this recall should have included my vehicle as there are similar models distributed in similar states, with exact issues pertaining to my vehicle which was not included in the initial recall. I have service scheduled for this vehicle at an authorized Ford dealership on July 17th, 2025 which was the earliest I could get the car in. I'm concerned as this is a substantial issue that puts the vehicle at risk for a serious malfunction should the power steering fail completely while being operated. This is a relatively low mileage vehicle for the year which likely why the issue hasn't arose until this point. I appreciate your time and consideration on this matter.

I didnt drive anywhere and light was off today when I crank it. well started driving and light is flashing. Ford dealership said this is a common issue from poor design engine but my car only has 40,000 miles. This seems to happen to ALOT of the 2016 eco models. Says coolant goes into engine. I’m aware most of these models have recalls but not 2016 why!!!!! It’s clearly a faulty engine problem if so many people are having the exact problem and code.

The back up camera does absolutely nothing to notify the driver if it's getting too close to something or someone. It does not show the green, yellow or red lines as you're reversing and it does not even beep when approaching something too closely. It's just there. No purpose. There luckily had been no incidents so I put today's date as I fill in this form.

I have never had this issue before with this car. I started the car up to go to the store and saw all these lights on my dash. I keep my car maintained well. Tires, oil, tune up etc… and when I saw the lights on the dash it said service advance trac and steering loss stop safely with 2 other icons above it. So I didn’t know what that was so I sent to get power fluid not knowing it wasn’t a reservoir. I know Ford had/has a recall on 2016 ford fusions model for THIS EXACT ISSUE! My steering cannot turn at all I need my car, PLEASE I am on disability and it’s not right that the recall won’t cover all ford of this model with this issue. I beg, I need my car fixed.

The power steering failed suddenly while driving. The vehicle became nearly impossible to steer and control. Our safety and the safety of others vehicles or pedestrians was put at risk because the car could not be steered or controlled properly. The failure could have easily caused a serious and perhaps life threatening accident. Luckily, due to circumstances, we were able to pull over safely without causing an accident. It suddenly became extremely difficult to steer the car to a safe stop. No warning lamps were illuminated until the problem was actually happening. The warning lamps read "power steering assist fault; pull over safely immediately". The car was towed to a auto mechanic. The mechanic was able to "reset" the power steering but could not diagnose the problem. We then took the car to a Ford Dealer for further inspection. The Ford Dealer diagnosed the car and said it needs a new Power Steering Rack. We were told the original part is "failing" from the inside. The repair at the Ford Dealer is priced at $3170. The car is 9 years old and the mileage is approximately 80,000. For about two days before this incident we noticed that the steering occasionally felt slightly "jerky" while making turns but there was no warning lamps until the power steering completely failed.

The contact drove into a gas station and the vehicle shut off while parking the vehicle. The contact's brother arrived at the scene and restarted the vehicle; however, the revving persisted. The contact was informed by another owner of a similar vehicle that the failure was related to the fuel system. The vehicle continued to rev, and the contact opened the fuel tank which allowed fumes and air pressure to be released from the gas tank. The vehicle resumed normal operation while the contact drove home; however, the failure returned the next time the contact drove the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic code reader showed a defect with the evaporative canister vent solenoid. The vehicle was advised to stop driving the vehicle and the vehicle was towed back to the residence. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.

My mechanic used to be a mechanic for FORD and is familiar with the poor build quality of the engine, transmission and turbo. I have not had the component inspected by anyone else. There were no symptoms or warning lights before this failure. The car was driving fine and then, the transmission slipped and failed.

I believe this car falls under the coolant leak recall that is still under investigation. The car started losing coolant and had white smoke coming from exhaust. I believe the coolant channels have cracked and caused the leak. It needs a new motor to be drivable again. I have been waiting for the recall to cover my vin. The recall currently covers similar vehicles.

For 2 1/2 months, every time I pump gas, I couldn't get the car to start without revving the engine. I took it to the Ford service center, and they informed me that it's the Canister Purge Valve that needed to be replaced. They also mentioned that they have seen a lot of cars with the same issue.

Electric rack and pinion steering failed while driving. It will not be available because the core need to be exchanged for the new part. I could not steer the car. I had no power to the steering. Luckily I could get it into my driveway before it completely locked up. Yes the garage I had it towed to had to push the car into the garage because it was not drivable. No one but the mechanic has inspected the part. I received a warning stating my power assist steering needed attention, and please drive slowly to a stop. I do not have any repair invoice because my vehicle is still being repaired The reason I am filing this complaint is that Ford has had problems with this steering component and was recalled in other Fusions but when contacting them, they said that mine was not covered under the recall for what appears the exact same reason.

The canister purge valve in this vehicle repeatedly goes bad. I had a 2015 and now 2016 both with the same issue. It throws the check engine light on and will just about die everytime putting gas into the car or when stopped for random periods of time. The vehicle uses more gas and you can literally smell the fumes escaping from the flapping gas tank lid. In order to start the car you have to pump the gas petal and occasionally the car will stall out while driving.

I was parked in a parking spot in a parking lot and put my car in reverse to back out. As I was backing out my gear shifter cable snapped and I could not put my car back into any other gear. This caused me to be stopped in the middle of the parking lot blocking traffic. If the cable would have snapped before I was in the vehicle it would have rolled back into other vehicles, and possibly a pedestrian. I had to call a tow truck driver who was able to temporarily pop it back into gear to get it in the rollback and tow it to the nearest Ford dealership. It was confirmed at the dealership that it was in fact the gear shifter cable and this was a common problem with ford fusions and many had recalls for this exact thing, however my car was not covered under the recall. There were no warning signs of prior issues to this problem and just happened.

Engine failed while driving on the highway due to a known defect with a coolant leak into the engine. My safety, and the passengers that were in the auto were put into danger when the engine malfunctioned due to the fact that we were on the highway, traveling at 65-70 mph, when the car suddenly started shaking, emitting white smoke from the exhaust and eventually stalling and not drive able. The only indicator that came on was the check engine light. There was no low coolant light to indicate that the auto was low or leaking coolant. There was no messages or codes to indicate a low coolant level in the car. The vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by my a certified mechanic.
