FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 F-Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550, F600, and 2021-2022 F-650, F750 vehicles. Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump.

Risk: High pressure Fuel pump failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, and Medium Duty F-650 and F-750 vehicles equipped with 6.7L diesel engines. A small void may be present in the top-center of the vehicle's underhood secondary fuel filter cap, which may progress to a pinhole over time, allowing fuel to leak from the top of the secondary fuel filter.

Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire or injury.

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:COOLING UNIT AND LINES

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 F-650 and F-750 vehicles equipped with 7.3L gas engines. The transmission oil cooler line may contact the air conditioning compressor pulley, possibly causing a transmission fluid leak.

Risk: Leaking transmission fluid may contact hot engine components, increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire.

FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 F-650 AND F-750 VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2012 THROUGH MARCH 16, 2012. THE CLEAR AND BLACK PRIMER MAY BE MISSING ON CERTAIN WINDSHIELDS WHICH MAY RESULT IN AN INSUFFICIENT BOND BETWEEN THE GLASS AND CAB STRUCTURE.

Risk: AN INSUFFICIENT BOND MAY RESULT IN A SEPARATION OF THE WINDSHIELD FROM THE CAB, INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.

FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 F-650 AND F-750 TRUCKS, MANUFACTURED FROM DECEMBER 3, 2010, THROUGH DECEMBER 20, 2011, EQUIPPED WITH BENDIX ATR-6 ANTILOCK TRACTION RELAY VALVES. IN EXTREMELY COLD CONDITIONS, THE BENDIX RELAY VALVES MAY POTENTIALLY DEVELOP INTERNAL LEAKAGE. INTERNAL LEAKAGE CAN LEAD TO AIR PRESSURE BEING DELIVERED TO AFFECTED PRIMARY OR SECONDARY BRAKE CAUSING CONTINUOUS BRAKE APPLICATION.

Risk: UNEXPECTED CONTINUOUS BRAKE APPLICATION CAN CAUSE THE BRAKES TO OVERHEAT AND LEAD TO A FIRE. UNEXPECTED CONTINUOUS BRAKE APPLICATION CAN CAUSE THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-650. The contact stated while an employee was driving 65 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended and stalled. The driver pulled to the right side of the road and waited for towing assistance. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
