Risk: Damaged axle hub splines can result in a vehicle rollaway when in park without the parking brake applied or cause a loss of drive power. Either of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash.

The Ford BlueCruise system almost got my family and myself rear ended with possibly a major injury to death. On our way to San Antonio, Texas from Houston, Texas we were driving across [XXX] withe the BlueCruise engaged. Then out of no where it started giving me the message to place my hands on the steering wheel. My hands were on the steering wheel. It gave me the message 3 times. Then it shook the steering wheel at the same time flashing Resume control. Then it slammed on the brakes. Luckily the truck behind us was paying attention and slammed on their brakes slowing their vehicle down. They drove around us. My wife asked if I did that and I said No, it was the truck. It also did it on the way back to Houston, Texas. After several times of the BlueCruise acting up, I took the truck back to the dealership. It was also turned in for the Brake system recall. iT has been at the dealership for just over a week now p w. The dealership; Tomball Ford, contacted me saying their technician and QC tech couldn't replicate the issue. So, i went up there and had; Ray, the QC tech ride with myself in the truck. Within a mile or 2 the truck's BlueCruise did exactly the same thing. We turned around to head back to the dealership and the truck did it again, but worse. This time the brakes engaged 3 to 4 times slowing the truck down from 60 mph to 30 mph and turning on the Hazard flashers before I turned it off. This time numerous vehicles slowed down and swerved to avoid rereading my truck with both myself and the Tomball Ford QC technician. All the QC technician said, was, "Oh, that's not supposed to do that." I was like [XXX] But your technician couldn't replicate that? New 2025 F150 Lariat with 3.5L V-6 Twin-Turbo Full Hybrid. Truck was sitting in garage and off when suddenly a message appeared on the digital speedometer area saying there was a powertrain fault. Truck only had 280 miles. At about 310 miles, service light came on indicating service was due. Checked FordPass app and the on board diagnostic program indicated there was a power train fault detected. I’ve checked several online forums and many owners are reporting that there are known Ford Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) regarding this issue and the issue has to due with faulty starter, alternator, and battery. Ford know about this issue and that it is common yet they have failed to issue a recall to fix all of these.

While attempting to schedule a recall repair appointment, several dealers in the area either failed to answer the phone, and several other dealers were unable to schedule an appointment. However, Loveland Ford (3905 Mountain Lion Dr, Loveland, CO 80537, Phone: (970) 744-7101) initially offered to schedule a mobile appointment but later retracted the offer. The contact notified the manufacturer of the issue. The manufacturer attempted to reach the dealers to schedule a recall repair appointment and was unsuccessful. The contact was seeking assistance in resolving the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

While driving roughly 30-40mph, there was complete loss of brakes. complete soft pedal to the floor with no brake function. ABS and Brake lights flash on dash board, parking brake malfunction warning. No prior warnings, issues, messages indicating need for brake service. My wife and kids were in the car and were lucky to be on a street where we were able to coast to a stop. Any busy street or highway driving could have been sever accident/potential loss of life incident. The dealer said they have never seen this issue before and said they went through a bunch of control modules and simply reset and made software updates. I never received a confirmed "root cause". Dealer made above mentioned software updates and drove the car for 50 miles, claim the issue/service is complete and we need to take the car. No root cause, no confirmed component failure, etc. We do not feel safe taking delivery of the car. We have requested a Ford field service technician/engineer inspect the vehicle with no luck. we have started buy back/replacement process with Ford, no decision made - tells us we are subject to lemon law as if this is a "creature comfort" issue and that we need to take the car back.

Vehicle unintentional cruise activation has happened two times now. The button requires no other 2nd action and at speed low enough to cause unintended forward and sudden acceleration. The button activates easily under turns due to its placements. In addition to this blue cruise gets very confused as sudden vehicles entering the lane in front of it cause severe lane drift due to programming.

A piece of reflective cloth like material has fallen from underside of truck bed and onto tailpipe and begun to burn. This creates a fire hazard for anybody using this vehicle. I have two of these similar trucks and it’s happening to both of them before 500 miles.i don’t know if the issue has been verified of reproduced by anybody. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer or manufacturer. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to me finding this by chance as I was replacing a wheel.

Braking power was severely diminished and delayed. Stopping while going a mere 5 mph would take about 10 yards. It was extremely dangerous and scary to operate - even to pull into the nearest safe parking lot. Upon restarting my vehicle twice, the lights went off except for the check engine light and my braking power returned.

I leased this vehicle as new a couple of months ago. The rear view camera was not working. The dealership in West Branch Michigan assured me that they would fix it. Subsequent visits and followup with dealership have been unsuccessful in the fix. During this time I almost ran over my grand daughter when backing up with no rear view camera. Very dangerous. Also any components relying on the rear view camera are also disabled. I beleive Ford has a concern in fixing this problem. It could result in a serious accident with pedistrian.

Vehicle experienced a flat tire on the side of a busy highway. The factory installed wheel rim was impossble to remove from the hub because it was corroded to the hub. Teo people had to stand in the traffic lane on an interstate highway to use mechanical leverage to remove the wheel. This vehicle is only 2 months old.

I would like to discuss a failure and concern with my new 2025 Ford F150. The Failure: While driving down the highway with Blue Cruise engaged and in control, the truck quickly veered off to the right. I immediately grabbed the steering wheel to correct the direction of the truck to avoid being driven off the road by the system. Based on the photo (attached) I have attached, it appears the Blue Cruise system possibly became confused with these lines in the road. Had I not corrected the vehicle, the truck quite possibly could have continued veering to the right, causing a catastrophic vehicle crash. I have attached a photo for your viewing. The Concern: The second issue relates to the F150s transmission. Like my 2021 F150, the 2025 F150 continues to exhibit the same concern with the transmission shifting hard (with a thud) from Park to Drive and similarly when stopped at a light to engaging the gas pedal. This leaves me to believe there will be transmission failure at some point due to the hard jerks. What is going on Ford??

The contact stated that upon inspection, it was discovered that the rear passenger’s side tire had a 3/4-inch sized tread separation. A replacement tire was installed. The contact later discovered that the same failure had occurred with the front passenger’s side tire. The cause of the failures were not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.

On the morning of Wednesday May 28, 2025 I walked out to 2025 Ford F-150 (5200 miles) when it suddenly sounded as if someone shoot a gun towards me. After standing back up I saw the rear glass had shattered looking as if it exploded from inside out due to the glass being in truck bed and not inside back seat. The four corners of glass were all broken off with giant hole in middle. The truck engine was not on and I had front passenger door open. I called Ford and they stated that they have never seen or heard of this, although I googled it and have seen many forums on same thing happening, and that they are not responsible. It is crazy to think about this happening if I had been driving when this happened and the potential accidents this could have caused on the road.

The vehicle was returned to the selling Ford dealership the next day. After a day in the service department, they were unable to duplicate the problem. This same message reappeared sporadically, but did not seem to affect the safe operation of the vehicle. At approximately 1460 miles the red "SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM NOW" and many other messages appeared while I was on an interstate traveling at 70mph. As I started maneuvering for the nearest exit, the steering would not respond without using EXCESSIVE force, creating a dangerous, unsafe situation. I managed to safely exit the highway and park the vehicle. It would not reset or operate normally. The vehicle was subsequently towed to a Ford dealer. After 3 weeks of troubleshooting, they replaced the main AGM 12V battery (Part Number BAGM 94RH7 800) and the DCDC Converter (Part Number ML3Z 14G649 F). These components may be available from Astro Ford in Biloxi, MS for inspection.

My brand new truck with 3500 miles when the cruise control is set to a speed the truck will randomly accelerate un commanded. This occurs when for no reason the cruise control will select 95 MPH if you at 75 MPH. It will do this at any speed selected. This uncommanded speed can occur multiple times within minutes or can late as long as 30 minutes. Also this uncommanded speed can also occur at lower speed set in the cruise control. This can only be corrected by hitting the brake. This is especially dangerous in traffic and on curves. This has happened in both places as well as on long stretches. I almost rear ended a car in front of me in traffic as I was going 55 and when the speed changed to 95 the truck floored the accelerator with full engine power.

1st incident: shift lever on centre consul " froze" in recessed position and vehicle could not be shifted into gear. Mileage at 500. 2nd incident: Mileage at 1600. With engine running, shift lever " froze" in reverse gear and couldn't be moved. If this happen on a busy street or highway, something serious could occur, even life threatening.
