ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Rear light bar was replaced under Recall 23S30 on April 30, 2024. At the time, light bar had moisture inside and was no longer functioning. Now same issue has presented itself with the new part. Rear lightbar works sporadically or not at all. This means that the red part of the light bar flashes randomly while driving, probably confusing other drivers. This also means the reverse lights do not work. So there is no indication when the vehicle is reversing. I noticed the moisture around the beginning of August 2025 and then noticed flickering lights while in reverse around August 18, 2025. Now, there are no reverse lights at all.

To Whom It May Concern: RE: 2022 Ford F-150 – VIN: [XXX] Safety Recall Notice: 25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455 I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding ongoing and serious safety issues with my 2022 Ford F-150, which I purchased just over a year ago with 29,000 miles from Big Star Ford in Pearland, TX. From the beginning, my ownership experience has been marred by dangerous oversights and inadequate dealership service: •At the time of purchase, the vehicle was sold to me with a punctured sidewall tire, an issue that was never disclosed. I had no choice but to replace all four tires out of pocket shortly after purchase. •One year later, during my final complimentary Advantage Care oil change, the situation escalated dramatically. Immediately after leaving the dealership and merging onto a major Houston freeway, all lug nuts on the front driver’s side wheel came off, causing the wheel to partially detach. The truck swerved violently, and I narrowly avoided what could have been a catastrophic accident. I returned on foot to the dealership and notified them. To their credit, they retrieved the vehicle and provided a loaner. However, their follow-up response was alarmingly inadequate: •Initially, they only offered to repair one side of the vehicle, and I had to insist that both sides be serviced for safety. •I had to demand replacement of all four tires, which they reluctantly agreed to. •No goodwill services, warranty extension, or formal apology were offered, despite the clear risk to life and property. Now, I’ve received a safety recall notice (25S75 / NHTSA Recall 25V455) related to potential loss of fuel pressure, which could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly while in motion. Ford currently has no available remedy for this serious issue, which again jeopardizes the safety of myself and my family. As a [XXX], husband, and father, I am deeply concerned about the safety and INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I recently ought a 2022 Ford F-150 off of a private seller. It had a clean Carfax when I bought it. About a month after I bought the truck, on July 24, 2025, the following warning lights appeared on my dash all on the same day. Blind Spot Assist Not Available, Cross Traffic Assist Not Available, and Reverse Brake Assist Not Available. Also, my drivers side window would not roll down, and my drivers side lock/unlock buttons would not work. There were not any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. So I took my truck into Gary Smith Ford in Fort Walton Beach, FL. on July 25, 2025 and they came back with the file I have uploaded below with the diagnosis and estimate. Of course the warranty has just expired a few months ago. We tried to make a claim with our insurance company and that was denied. I have also reached out to Ford Customer Service and they refused to help in any way. We were also never offered a loaner vehicle and my truck has been at the dealership for three weeks now. I am currently Active Duty Military and this is now effecting my ability to report for duty, and causing my leadership to question me. It is also effecting my family as we now only have one vehicle. As you can see in the link below, the estimate is quite high. and it is extremely frustrating that Ford has refused to help in any way, and will not provide any logical reason as to why except that the warranty is expired. Especially since this isn't my fault at all. Any help in rectifying this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Issue #1 Transmission while going up steep incline and gears go from gear 10th to 9th gear there is a hard thump, dealership says they will not do anything if it passes their clutch pack test. Issue #2 rear driver shock absorber was replaced at 38,000 miles due to leakage. 4k miles(1month) later the new shocks paint is wore off and has the same markings the old one has, this will cause premature failure and premature rusting. The sock absorber on the other side has no markings and paint is fine (42k Miles old) This may be due to a defective bolt Bolt (w720200 S440 nut I had to have replaced as it was missing..Then few months later the shock absorber went out and was charged ($358 for repair) now I have a premature wearing part installed again seems to be an overall issue with back end suspension

POWER TRAIN

I was driving down the road and heard a loud clunking noise. Then I had lost power and the rear wheels were spinning out of control. There was a grinding/spinning/whirring noise coming from beneath the vehicle, sounded like from behind. I was fortunately able to regain control of the vehicle by shifting it into 4WD and avoided an accident. I brought the Vehicle to Gaudin Ford for repair and was informed it was a recalled part failure recall number 23S65. I had previously requested the recall repairs to be performed during routine maintenance, but was informed parts were not available. At this time, I've been 6 weeks without my truck and there is no end in site. It was insinuated that they might not even be making this part anymore, but the Ford recall center was unable to confirm or refute this. In the interim, I do not have a suitable replacement. I have been provided a small vehicle as a loaner, but I am unable to use this to drive >50 mile radius, I can't leave the state, can't loan it to my children, can't tow or haul. All the things I need my truck for, I'm unable to do. Either, I need access to a rental with similar capability to my truck without all the restrictions, or fix the truck in a timely manner, or provide me a suitable loaner without all the restrictions, or buy back my truck, or something. Instead I feel like I'm being held hostage by a company who is refusing to fulfill the recall responsibility in a timely and suitable manner. I have contacted the dealer, Ford customer service, and the Ford recall center on numerous occasions and have been told that other than getting an update when the part is available, there's nothing else they can do. I brought it to the dealer to perform a test on the cluster and they came back saying it would need a replacement for $1800. A digital cluster should last the life of a vehicle not go out in the first 3 years just out of warranty.

ENGINE

While proceeding through a four-way stop, my vehicle unexpectedly lost driveline engagement. The engine began free-spinning while still in "Drive," and the truck stopped accelerating, leaving me stranded in the middle of the intersection. I had to shift repeatedly between Park and Drive before the vehicle would respond and move again. This is not an isolated incident. The same failure occurred previously in early 2024. The vehicle has also exhibited persistent transmission issues, including gear hunting and harsh downshifts, particularly a hard clunk during the 4–3 shift on deceleration. The dealer has dismissed these symptoms in the past, stating it was due to the transmission being "cold." However, the intermittent loss of driveline engagement presents a serious safety risk to myself and others, especially when it occurs in active traffic situations. This is the second time the vehicle has left me stranded without warning. I’m extremely concerned that Ford has not addressed this recurring safety issue. The condition is unpredictable and dangerous. Immediate investigation and corrective action are needed.

Have contacted 2 different Ford dealers starting from November 2024, when I bought the truck, to get this recall repaired. Dealers tell me they'll order the parts and get back to me, but never call me back. When I call them they tell me there's nothing they can do. This recall was issued in August of 2023. I've recieved 4 different recall letters since November of 2024 for different probmems related to my truck. It's been 2 years that have gone by with no remedy to repair this recall of the axle bolts breaking...I guess they're waiting until I'm in an accident and sue them before they'll do anything....This is BS...!

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

We were told, our truck had a loss of fuel pressure and flow from the fuel tank due to fuel pump failure. This can cause a lack of fuel delivery to the engine and result in an engine stall while driving. That’s what happened to us. Prior to fuel pump failure, we experienced poor engine performance (misfiring or running rough), a check engine light, and a reduction in engine power. The engine stalled while driving on the highway and increased the risk of a crash being stuck on the side of the road up a hill like we were. I was reaching out to see if we are able to get a refund.

My truck is/has been experiencing engine power issues on occasions when its hot. There are no engine light warnings. I believe issues is the fuel pump and there is a recall about this exact issue. I spoke to dealership and they said they have no remedy. I chatted with a Ford company customer service associate and he would not help either despite this is a major safety issue. We are afraid to drive the vehicle and no one at Ford will help us.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

On July 30, 2025, as I was pulling onto the highway, my audio system started blaring noise from all the speakers in the vehicle. This noise was unbearably loud to the point I had to pull off the road. The noise coming from the speaker system was so loud that it was visibly shaking the door panels in the vehicle. I tried to turn down the volume, but it didn't help. After this, I tried turning off the vehicle's entertainment system, which still didn't help. I finally turned the car off, opened the door, got out, and then closed the door; however, the noise persisted for about 10 seconds before finally shutting off. Upon restarting the vehicle, the noise stopped, and I was able to drive for about a mile before starting again. At this point, I drove the car to my local Ford garage and, the problem was able to be replicated. They could not figure out how to fix the issue, but pulled the fuse to the audio system to prevent the sound from occurring and scheduled me to come back to inspect the vehicle at a later date.

The evaporator caused a compressor to fail, which caused a power train failure notification in sync and on the phone app. The compressor is under warranty, but the evaporator is not, which causes a $3600 repair (parts and labor). According to the bulletin, the evaporator known issue is NOT considered a threat to life, even though it certainly is a threat to life to not have air conditioning in hotter states. EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Day time running lamp (DRL) failure. The driver's side DRL is not working anymore on my 2022 Ford F150 XLT with LED light package. The vehicle has 37,000 miles on it. The DRL is a vertical and horizontal strip of white LED's that stay on during the daytime for visibility. I took it to the dealer and they changed the module that runs the light and it would not fix it. They said that the lights are broken in the headlight assembly and it will cost $2,009 to fix the light that is not covered by my extended warranty. Apparently you have to get the "light" package on the extended warranty, when I was told I have a bumper to bumper warranty. How do the LED's burn out that fast. Ford built them into the headlight assemble and they cannot be replaced without buying a whole new assembly. I have seen other vehicles like this on the roadway with only one light working. As an accident reconstructionist, I cannot believe Ford would not take the initiative to fix this for safety reasons. I have done research on the topic and several Ford trucks of this year model are experiencing the same issues. I am surprised this has not become a recall issue due to safety issues. Also, I do not have any aftermarket lighting or attachments that would affect the lighting. Some Ford dealerships use that excuse when the light assembly fails. It is stock lighting with stock bumper and grill and has not been in a front end collision.

The vertical portion of the DRL stopped working. Looking online it looks like the LED bulb melts the light housing covering up the LED. I see many reports of this problem on forums and some have the vertical and horizontal strips do this so they lose DRL on that side of the truck.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Received recall notice for vehicle listed above. Contacted the local Ford dealer and talked to the service writer. They stated as the recall notice outlined that currently Ford does not have remedy for the situation. In the recall notice it outlines one of the issues could be the vehicle to stall particularly in hot weather conditions.. I live on the Gulf Coast (hot humid conditions) and commute 2x daily across elevated bridges that are notorious for accidents from stalled vehicles on the bridge. This is due to a faulty fuel pump system. My concern is that if I stall out on this bridge the results could be tragic for not only me but for other people using the bridge. To me this situation should be remedied in a "NOW" timeline to prevent the loss of life and equipment. The service writer agreed with me but didn't have a solution. Why doesn't Ford just install a new fuel pump that doesn't have this particular problem. In my opinion if they can't do that they should replace my current vehicle with a new of the same make and model. My life and that of others in this situation is more important than Ford's bottom line. I bought my truck less than a year ago. I found out that the recall (23530) repair on my truck had been completed about 2 months prior to me buying it from another dealership. I took it to a local dealership last week (July 3rd) for the diagnostic and the findings were obvious. Water/moisture in the light that shorted out the right side lights and causes the camera to flicker like a strobe light. I paid $200 for the diagnostic fee only for them to repeatedly mention how the truck is out of warranty and the recall part warranty was expired as well. This isn’t a warranty/recall issue. This is a faulty parts issue that appears to be rampant amongst several lighting owners. There’s no record of the replacement part’s manufacturing date, but my tailgate light bar is having the same moisture issues as the original reasons for the recall. When this gets repaired, it will be the 3rd part on this truck in as many years as its existence. Ford corporate has repeatedly dismissed this as “out of warranty” even though the issue is with the same recalled part itself. I’ve called the ford customer service line for them to lean on the warranty expiration and the recall date. Sorry for the long windedness but I just need the steps to get this fixed. It’s beyond frustrating having to deal with this. Any help would be appreciated. If you need any info just let me know. thanks in advance [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The front daytime running lights are out and not replacable. Ford said they cannot repair the led and need to replace the entire headlight. This is a safety issue for me and my passengers as other cars might not see us especially in certain weather or lighting. Two Rivers Ford inspected the vehicle and said they can't fix it. Would cost $4000 for new headlights plus labor. No warning lights. There is no reason any new vehicle withing 3 years should need the entire headlight assembly replaced especially at $4000.

While driving multiple issues presented themselves. First was a drivers screen warning light. It said Drivetrain Malfunction-Power Reduced. I was on a 1000-mile road trip and wisas well into the trip. I kept driving without any operating issues with the exception of having steering wheel button controls malfunctions also. They included cruise control cancel button not working. The slow down button actually speeding up. This issue was actually repaired previously and now it is presenting itself again. Very unsafe when buttons work in reverse or don't work as intended. The Drivetrain Malfunction disappeared for the next few days but came back. There have been other wiring splicing repairs made at the dealer and these could be related. The wires were spliced because a wiring harness could not be obtained as it was backordered. Vehicle is just out of warranty and only has 23K miles. Critical wiring has corroded already.

I was driving through rain on [XXX] and my truck was having trouble shifting in 4x4 mode. An error message appeared stating "4x4 Service Needed". I clicked OK and the message went away. Due to driving, I was unable to take a photo of the error message. When I called Maguires Ford where I purchased the vehicle, they told me this message meant the system could malfunction and that I needed to bring the vehicle in ASAP. At first they told me there was no history of the error message and since they could not pull a code, there was nothing they could do. After reviewing a second time, they verified the error message did appear but they could still not pull a code so there wasn't anything they could do. They said most likely the rain got into the module and caused the system to malfunction. I asked how rain would get into the module and they didn't answer the question. No further investigation was completed and they told me to take the vehicle home. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Jan 2025 bought a 2022 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost with 10 speed transmission with 32,000 miles on the transmission started going out around 35,000 miles as it was shaking, shuttering, and hesitating. Took it to one dealership they had it for a couple of weeks and couldn’t figure it out and said it was normal. I told them it’s not safe to drive with as bad as the hesitation was. Decided to go to another dealership they figured out the problem fixed and got it fixed. Drove it for a week starting have issues with it shaking between gears 7-10 with the smell of burning transmission fluid in the cabin. Took it back to the dealer they had it for 3 weeks drove the truck and felt the issue I explained but told me they couldn’t fix the problem and there is nothing they can do right now. During the time of going between dealerships got in contact with Ford they made a case against the truck but have not got involved with fixing the problem. All of this does not include the 2020 F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost I bought at the end of 23’ with 38,000 miles and at 45000 miles had Transmission issues and had to be rebuilt but never got fixed correctly so ended up having to trade it in with all of the other issues with that truck. Ford denied the buyback I applied for and refuses to fix the problem. This is a very big problem as this has been going on for a while with Fords 10 speed transmission.

Day time running lamps on the side of the headlight have burnt out. First time it was the passenger side that died, had it replaced under warranty. then a few month later after my warranty was up, the driver side has now died as well. The fact I have had this truck 2 and a half year and both have failed is unacceptable. I see every single F150 on the road with THE EXACT SAME ISSUE! This isn't a fluke or bad luck on my vehicle. From my research online, tons of others are complaining about it too. The dealership wanted $2400.00 to replace it, with what is likely another faulty light that would have the same issue in a few years. This is a hazard to myself and others because my vehicle isn't lit up like it should be so that I am visible to others on the road. Also I have had 4 or 5 water leaks in the brief time of owning this truck that ford has blamed on me. Water gets in and collects on the passenger side floorboard under the carpet. I have been without my vehicle multiple times while they attempted to get a specialist to find the issue. Had to pay for my own rental vehicle for a week because they " dont give out loaners" even when you are under warranty.

Transmission consistently shifts hard, both up and down gears, and has a constant vibration in overdrive gears at 45-55 MPH. Transmission was inspected and found to have a bad valve body which was replaced. Vibration did not subside. Within 6 months, rough shifting returned and increased in frequency and force. Down shifting at braking becomes stuttered and can cause the vehicle to continue further along due to increased torque from the down shift. Up shifting can cause sudden acceleration due to inconsistent pause between hard shifts leading to unintended acceleration.

On Sunday, [XXX], my truck spontaneously burst into flames while parked in my front yard. I had just returned from doing a number of errands. The truck had been running fine with no indications of a problem. I was outside tending to my smoker when I heard a sort of popping/crackling noise. I looked up at my truck approximately 40 feet away and saw flames shooting out from the engine bay through the hood gaps. I called 911 and attempted to douse the flames with a powder fire extinguisher with no luck. By the time the fire department arrived 15 minutes later or so, the truck was fully involved and burnt to the frame. I didn't smell gasoline during the initial startup, but a strong smell of burning wires. The concerns are of course for my safety and that of my family. It was just luck that the truck was parked in the front yard rather than next to my house where it's normally parked. We were have a sidewalk put in and thus my normal parking space wasn't available. I could've been driving at the time and with the speed of this fire, I'm not confident I would've been able to get out. The truck has been seen by the insurance company and is being towed out of my yard sometime today May 29th, 2025. I don't know where it will towed to. I have pictures and videos detailing the fire and it's progression. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

This is a problem from an old recall. The rear tail gate light was recalled and replace because it was leaking in Jan 2024. The exact same problem has happened again in March 2025. Ford refuses to replace the defective part. After research in forums online I have noticed many other people having the same issue. This is a safety issue as it is part of the exterior lighitng system. It is either completely off or will be flashing making it difficult for other drivers to see me. Another safety issue, it made the backup camera inoperable I did have to have the light replace at considerable cost so it is no longer available. I did ask the dealer to save the light for me and they did not. There was no warning messages on the vehicle computer system

Stereo blasted static at full volume at decibels dangerously exceeding healthy limits while driving and would not turn off. Had to stop the vehicle and turn off in the middle of the road. Sound was so loud that my hearing was impacted and there is now ringing in both ears. If children were present, it would have been devastating. I was stuck in the middle of the road while traffic routed around my vehicle. If this happens to someone else, the noise/volume is so disorienting it could cause involuntary breaking or steering, resulting in a car accident. Please help, this is unacceptable.

It terrified me and has made my ears ring and hurt all day....went and had a hearing test done and I now have mild hearing loss...will go back in two weeks to test it again. I pulled over and turned radio and truck off....and it still keep screaming. I disconnected the battery and it also still kept doing it. I drove to the dealership while.trying to plug ears shut with fingers.. After a hour there setting up to pay and leave the truck with them, it stopped. I did do the hearing test after it happened because my ears hurt and kept on ringing. I also recorded a video on my phone of the sound that was blasting out. I thought I smelt burning wires but realized later that the sound was way higher than the radio turned all the way up and the smell was coming from all the speakers being pushed over their max decimal compasity. I have a video but it will not let me upload it in the file section.

The problem is not a safety issue but needs to be addressed for recall. There is a underbody shield called the splash guard or skid plate. It's a cloth shield that covers the oil pan. It's make of some kind of cloth instead of a metal. It fell off jan 17, 2025, the first time and I was charged $154.83. I was told this wasn't covered under warranty and it gets wet, freezes and comes off. At this time I saw 4 other f150s with this piece of cloth dragging under their trucks. This shows me that it happens to alot of f150s. This just happened again 4/11/2025. There was no snow to blame this on. After checking Google for this I see there was some 185,000 recalls fromm 2000 throughout 2022. My truck is a 2022 but wasn't covered under the recall. Again this piece came off and I filed a complaint with ford customer service because I refuse to pay for another factory defect. They suggested I file a complaint with you so here I am.

I have no illumination when backing up, I feel this is an unsafe condition. The dealer has confirmed there is moisture in the tail light bar. No other entity has inspected the vehicle. The pre 2023 10R80 transmission needs to be recalled. The transmission surges, jerks, and has even downshifted so roughly in a low speed hard right turn that the tires slipped. Gears 3-5 are incredibly bad, but downshifts from 3rd to 1st when coming to a stop interferes with the braking and can cause drivers to misjudge the stopping distance required. Coming to a stop is rarely smooth, and the problem isnt me because this doesnt happen with my other three vehicles. It also vibrates at certain speeds and Groove Ford, now purchased by Autonation, refuses replacement or rebuild. Ford needs to recall these for the CDF drum, which was redesigned, and for the F clutch cyl, which is now a hardened anodized unit. Both were updated for the 2023 model year. Worse than that, my transmission and many others were underfilled from the factory. The dealer added 3.5 qts and refused to replace the transmission even after shuddering and a valvebody replacement which was necessitated by the low fluid conditions.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

This letter serves as formal notification of a persistent and unresolvable defect in my 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. The defect concerns the tailgate light, which continues to leak water despite multiple repair attempts. I purchased/leased this vehicle on [XXX] from Galpin Ford on 15505 Roscoe Blvd, North Hills, CA 91343. The vehicle is currently under the original manufacturer's warranty. The tailgate light has exhibited a recurring issue of water intrusion, leading to condensation, malfunction, potential for electrical damage. This problem significantly impairs the vehicle's safety due to Inoperative reverse lamps. This may reduce the awareness of other motorists or road users of the driver’s intention to operate the vehicle in reverse gear, increasing the risk of injury or crash. It has also in the past caused electrical shorting that caused other lamps to fail, potentially resulting in the risk of injury or crash due to failed communication with other drivers. The following repair attempts have been made to address this defect, once under the recall: 1. March 14, 2023: Autonation Ford performed the repair for the first time. 2. March 18, 2024: Autonation Ford performed the repair for the second time. 3. March 24, 2025: Autonation Ford performed the repair for the third time. Despite these attempts, the defect persists. I have also become aware that numerous other Ford F-150 Lightning owners across the country are experiencing the same or a similar tailgate light issue. This is evidenced by discussions on the Ford Lightning Owners Forum, reports on social media platforms such as Facebook. This widespread problem indicates a potential design or manufacturing defect that Ford has failed to adequately address. I bought a used Ford f-150 from Toyota used care dealership on [XXX]. On [XXX] while vehicle was being driven on [XXX], north of Santa Clarita, on the way down to San Diego. I was in the backseat, my friend who was the driver notified me. That we had to pull over and check because he was noticing smoke, then we pulled over and the truck was leaking a fluid that was on fire for about 20 minutes. We had exited the vehicle, called 911, the fire then stopped after about 20 minutes. The fire department came and then put out a small fire within the truck. We then had to wait on the side of the rode for 5 hours waiting for a tow truck to pull the truck. I got the truck towed to a ford service center because the truck still had new vehicle manufacturer warranty with Ford. The truck was given full warranty and Ford covered the damages and fixed the vehicle giving it the green light in there service report. I then waited until March 4th 2025 to receive my truck back. On [XXX], the truck was being driven down southband the [XXX], on the [XXX], again due to smoke and also hearing a loud banging, my friends had to pull over and the truck is going to be towed to the service center which it was first fixed. Sudden, loud static and crackling noises emitting from the B/O Unleashed sound system. It was so sudden, loud and startling, I could see it scaring a driver enough to make them panic and cause an accident. I was concerned that it was going to blow the speakers.

POWER TRAIN

The manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall for my F-150 vehicle in a timely manner. Ford initially identified the axle bolt fault as Customer Satisfaction Program 22B34 on Feb. 14, 2023 to a limited range of vehicles but then expanded the action as a recall notification 23S65 on Dec. 22, 2023 covering all 2021-2023 trucks with their "Trailer Tow Max Duty package". Based on these dates, Ford has had over 2 years to engineer a solution to this safety recall but has not done so.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

My F150, like many others that I've read about in the forums, has an issue with the internal cabin temperature. It blows way too hot and isn't adjustable as designed. Clearly, this in itself is not a safety concern and rather an inconvenience that Ford won't seem to figure out and fix. The issue is that when the heat is turned to High (which is meant to be around 85F), it blows out air at around 160F and this can easily burn someone who touches the vents - such as my young kids. Ford needs to resolve this safety (and inconvenient) concern.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

There are several issues with the truck, the worst being misfire issues while driving at highway speeds. Several times now I have been on the interstate at speeds and the truck will all of a sudden lose speed and shutter. The engine light will blink, and this will happen for a couple miles and then it goes back to normal. If you pull the codes on the truck, you get P0300, P0301, and P0305. This is in the dealership again now. The previous two times the dealership has done nothing because they can not duplicate the issue, but they do pull the codes.

POWER TRAIN

This is a 2022 Ford F15 . In 2023 ,at 34000 miles the tranfer case broke down in the middle of the road, waiting at a stop light. The truck needed to be towed. The dealer fixed it under the warranty. In 2024 at 57000 miles ,the same transfer case broke down as i was getting out of my driveway. Again it was towed to the dealer. In Feb 2025 i drove out of state and i observed a white smoke behing me. I stoped at a rest area and discover the the undercarriage is full of oil and the transmission got overheated. When I got back home i saw a lot of oil spots from the trans on my driveway. Now the car is at the dealer again. The worst part is even if I had an appointment 2 weeks later from the date i called, representative told me it will take another 2 weeks to fix the trans! Every time the truck was at the dealer it took 2 weeks to get fixed and every time they told me theyy don’t have a loaner. That is my work truck and i can’t miss 2 weeks of work! I asked the representative what is going on with a car that is still under warranty and the transfer case broke twice in 2 years. The answer was that Ford knows about this problem but they do not have a solution to fix it properly. I asked him what I’m suppose to do after the warranty runs out? Same guy told me that Ford will issue a recall and as long as there is a recall they will fix it with no extra charge but there is no recall on transfer cases from Ford! For a truck that I paid $90000 that is not acceptable. Please let me know my options. Thank you.

Initial incident occurred about two months before I brought the truck in where I put the truck in reverse and it would lock up the transmission, it would do one revolution and stop. We put the truck in drive. It would unload the whole drive train and get stuck. One revolution going forward, proceeded to put the truck in park it would decompress the drivetrain this would happen 3 to 4 times before the transmission would release and allow you to drive normally took the truck into the shop. They opened up the transmission and found that the CFD drum had ruptured causing the transmission to intermittently lock up

(2022 Ford F150 Supercrew XLT) The sunroof wind deflector screen that pops up when you open the sunroof broke at 75mph and could have caused an accident or killed a motorcyclist. The vehicle only has 38000 miles on it. I observed that the wind screen was attached to the roof by 4 small screws. The product is made of plastic and cannot sustain highway driving. I observed another complain on the internet at 70mph same thing. Mullinex Ford of Apopka Fl is where the vehicle was purchased. I believe the screen should be made of metal to prevent it from breaking. I am terrified of replacing it because I am certain it will break again. website part #fl3z-16500a26-c.
