FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 FORD F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, EDGE, AND LINCOLN MKX TRUCKS MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 25, 2010, THROUGH NOVEMBER 20, 2010. THESE VEHICLES WERE INSPECTED USING INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (IDS) THAT HAD A CUSTOM SOFTWARE ROUTINE TO READ THE SUSPECT BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) SERIAL NUMBER. BASED ON THE SERIAL NUMBER THE BCM WAS EITHER NOT AFFECTED OR REPLACED. THE CUSTOM SOFTWARE ROUTINE WAS NOT READING THE CORRECT SET OF CHARACTERS, AND WAS NOT ABLE TO IDENTIFY A BCM THAT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT AFFECTED BCMS MAY HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT.

My camera has been upside down and or blank or won't show anything half the time and took to the dealer and they said they cant fix it because software issue but Ford has recalled other cars cameras for the same issue. Can't see behind me very well due to camera malfunction almost every time in reverse.

Rear backup camera has inverted picture and sometimes blank picture. I see recalls for newer Edge models with same problem but not the 2011. Second issue: sometimes the door ajar light is displayed on dash when doors are closed. Usually indicates driver door. Close several times and then it will finally work again. Has caused battery to run down in past if not caught before leaving vehicle. This is random as to when it happens, but I see online that it’s a common problem.

This is in reference to Field Service Action 13N02 with codes P2195 and P2197. There was an extended warranty, but I never knew that as I bought the vehicle pre-owned. I am a college student and the vehicle poses a danger as I am not able to stop every time. I called the local Ford dealership, and without even looking at the vehicle. He said, yes we know about the issue, but it's to late for you to have it repaired for free. I am filing a complaint with with the Wyoming Attorney General as well, and looking into a civil action. I want to make sure I document everything in case there is a serious injury or death.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the door locks failed to operate as intended. The sunroof froze while closing or opening. The contact stated that the lights were flashing independently, and the alarm was independently activated. In addition, there was a burning odor entering the vehicle through the A/C vents. The message "Door Ajar" was displayed; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the costs. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

the hazard lights will turn on while driving, and or while the vehicle is parked, thus draining the battery. The button to turn them on and or off is a "pressure sensitive" button which fails from the swelling of heat and or moisture. This is a major issue as the vehicle can't be driven now since the hazards just turn on and off.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I recently bought this vehicle July 3, 2025 I have got it diagnosed and I have got everything replaced that was needed I have got a replacement battery, started, and alternator checked by different people everyone is saying they are good. But I keep getting "BATTERY SAVER-SYSTEM OFF please turn ignition off or start the engine" and it has shut down completely while I was in traffic and hesitant while driving and when I turn on the truck it says "SYNC performing scheduled system maintenance " and it has a loading bar underneath it. At this point I do not know what else to DO PLEASE HELP !!!!

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the pedal went to the floorboard with the brakes making a loud sound. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who flushed the brake lines. The failure reoccurred after depressing the brake pedal suddenly. The contact's husband had replaced two brake master cylinders; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the mechanic, and after flushing the brake lines several times, the mechanic determined that the hydraulic pump had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that there was no recall related to the VIN. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 187,000.

I took my vehicle to ford and they pretty much ignored me making me there was no solution. No reports or anything. I called several times to take my car to get serviced telling them I felt unsafe but they pretended they couldn’t here me they didn’t want to deal with me cause my vehicle was too old 2011 ford edge limited. I don’t think it’s old I need a little guidance here before I take it to the next step. Please help me fix my vehicle my insurance at the time told me it has two recalls and ford shined me off three or four times telling me no instead of helping

The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the AWD and cruise control modes disengaged unintendedly. The contact stated that messages indicating that the traction control, cruise control, and AWD were disengaged were displayed. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. SERVICE BRAKES

ABS module valves stick open resulting in low soft brake pedal. Master cylinder has been replaced and vacuum bled with problem still occurring. I feel this is a safety item and ford should stand behind this issue till the end of service life of the vehicle. the repair part is hard to find and expensive.

I have a 2011 ford edge sel the brakes are hard as a rock causing more force to be used to stop the vehicle even being driven under 5mph. This is a major saftey issue that should've been in ford's previous recall. The vehicle was manufactured at the Oakville plant in Canada which was ford's recalled vehicles. I contacted ford and they informed me it was vin specific which my vehicle wasn't covered by the recall but yet it's having the same issues as the others that were recalled from the same assembly facility. I was told to take it to a dealership and keep the receipts of it being fixed just incase there is a recall on the vehicle later on. I'm not the only person having issues with these issues with less then 200,000 miles on their vehicles. Ford knew there was a problem with the vehicles which they should have recalled all the ones from that assembly plant and fixed them.

My brakes are hard as a rock cause me to use more force on the brakes to stop and there is hissing coming from brake booster when I apply the brakes on my vehicle causing prolonged stopping distance called ford and they said there was no recalls on that vin which their "recalls is vin specific" yet all the vehicles use the same brake booster that is installed on this vehicle. It was hard to stop even going at low speeds under 10mph
