2025 FORD BRONCO Complaints and Recall Information
The 2025 FORD BRONCO has 12 complaints and 28 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to the instrument panel and gauge displays failing to work intermittently. Other common problems include safety system malfunctions such as child safety lock failures and warning lights activating unexpectedly.
Common Issues
- Instrument panel failure. The instrument panel and gauges occasionally do not turn on after startup and may start working only after multiple restarts or door operations.
- Child safety lock defect. The rear left door child safety lock does not engage properly, allowing the door to be opened from inside even when locked, which poses a safety risk.
- ABS and warning light malfunctions. ABS light activates when parked on uneven ground. Additional warnings include Pre-Collision unavailable, Service AdvancTrac alerts, and parking brake limited function notifications.
- Cross traffic and blind spot alerts faulty. Repeated fault messages are reported for cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring systems.
- Power loss at high elevation. The vehicle loses all power around 11,400 feet elevation without warning lights or error codes, reducing speed to about 2 mph and creating hazardous conditions on steep mountain roads.
- Airbag recall issue. Some Broncos were sold with an undisclosed recall involving a malfunctioning passenger airbag vent flap that may prevent proper airbag deployment.
There are 28 recalls filed for the 2025 FORD BRONCO affecting various systems including brakes, doors, airbags, suspension components, and transmissions. The recalls address critical safety defects that may increase the risk of accidents and injury.
Recalls
- Electronic Brake Booster module. Recall 25V488000 affects 312,120 vehicles. The module may malfunction causing loss of power brake assist during normal driving or ADAS use. This increases stopping distance and crash risk. Dealers will update the software over-the-air or in service free of charge.
- Rear door child safety lock. Recall 25V397000 covers 27,768 vehicles. The left rear door can open from inside despite the child lock setting, increasing injury risk. Dealers will inspect and replace the latch as needed at no cost to owners.
- Passenger airbag vent flap. Recall 25V396000 involves 2,272 vehicles. The vent flap may block proper airbag deployment, failing safety standards and increasing injury risk in crashes. Dealers will replace the passenger airbag module free of charge. Interim notices have been sent; a second notice will follow when repairs are ready.
- Front upper control arm ball joint. Recall 25V260000 affects 2 vehicles. The ball joint nut may be missing or loose, risking detachment and loss of steering control. Owners are advised not to drive until fixed. Dealers will inspect and repair at no charge.
- Driver seat fasteners. Recall 25V311000 impacts 46 vehicles. Bolts securing the driver’s seat frame may be loose or missing, risking occupant restraint failure during crashes. Dealers will inspect and tighten or replace fasteners for free.
- Transmission valve body. Recall 25V164000 covers 269 vehicles. Improper machining can cause reverse gear failure or unexpected vehicle movement in neutral or reverse, increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the valve body without charge.
- Front lower control arm fasteners. Recall 25V308000 affects 3 vehicles. Fasteners may be loose, possibly detaching the control arm and causing loss of control. Owners must not drive until repairs. Dealers will inspect and fix free of cost.
- Front upper control arm ball joint fastener. Recall 25V310000 covers 4,497 vehicles. Missing or loose fasteners can allow detachment of the control arm, risking steering loss. Dealers will inspect and tighten or replace fasteners for free.
- Front upper control arm ball joint nut installation. Recall 24V770000 involves 2,416 vehicles. Improperly installed or missing nuts can cause detachment of the control arm. Dealers will inspect and repair as required at no cost.

2025 FORD BRONCO
ID: 2127572VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was driving the vehicle on high mountain pass roads in Colorado. Anytime I would approach approximately 11,400 feet of elevation. The vehicle would instantly lose all power with no warning lights of any kind. All gauges were in the normal operating range. Vehicle would barely move 2 mph. Created a very unsafe condition on narrow steep dirt roads in the mountains. As soon as I turned around and descended approximately 100 feet in elevation the power came back instantly and vehicle operated normally. This happened on three occasions. The roads we were on were narrow, off-road vehicle mountain roads, and it created an extremely dangerous situation. I contacted Ford and they have not heard of this issue and there are no recalls associated with it. I spoke to a Ford bronco ambassador, who was also on the trail system with a lot of other off-road vehicles, including Broncos and they had never heard of this happening . This vehicle is Six months old. Ford says there are no codes set on my computer and since they cannot duplicate this where I live in Phoenix because there are no roads high enough I don’t know where to turn.

When starting my commute to work and when returning home, the instrument panel and gauges display would not turn on. After power/engine restart and open/close driver door, I drove off and about 10 minutes into drive the instrument panel and gauges display started working. On the way to work I pulled over and took a photo. On the way home I sat in parking lot at work and videoed trying to get display to work. Vehicle security system was installed the day *after* the display failure, 04/18/2025.
