FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

We purchased the above referenced vehicle new back in 2022 and have received numerous recalls since 2023. Many of these recalls have no remedy or remedies not yet available. Thankfully, most of these recalls are not urgent and do not pose much of a problem. However, the most recent recall 25S75/25V455 poses a threat due to loss of fuel pressure and recently our vehicle has shown signs of malfunctioning. I am majorly concerned because our daughter is supposed to use this vehicle in February 2026 and the way the recall repairs are trending, it may take months or years to remedy. I am writing this correspondence so you are aware of the recall and put it on your radar to track. I plan on writing again if a significant amount of time has passed with no remedy per Ford's direction if we are having difficulty getting our vehicle repaired in a "reasonable" amount of time. There is no reason Ford should be producing faulty, no remedy vehicles. Families have to rely on their vehicles and should feel safe and confident, not worrying if the car stalls mid highway with their child in it.

My car has a recall NHTSA #25V025 for the rear shock absorber external reservoir corrosion since1/21/2025. A few weeks ago the recall status shows remedy available so I brought it in to a Ford Dealership on 8/15/2025. The tech inspected the car and both absorbers showed signs of oil leaking and they need to be replaced. The pictures also showed the reservoirs are close to be separated from the vehicle. The dealer told me the parts are in back order with no ETA despite the recall status shows remedy available. The dealer told me the car is safe to drive despite the fact in the recall they stated "If a rear shock absorber external reservoir separates from the vehicle, it can create a potential road hazard for other road users, increasing the risk of a crash." I don't have a car to drive since 8/15/2025 and Ford is refusing to provide a loaner or rental vehicle on their cost.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

When my brakes are cold and I stop on a hill...the brakes do not hold and the car moves about a foot forward. Then something kicks in and it jerks the car to a stop (all the while my foot is completely pressed down on the brake. No warning lamps, no lights, nothing...just rolls when brake is completely applied. It only does this when the brakes are cold. After they warm up it doesn't do it anymore. The dealer has looked at it and couldn't replicate (because the brakes weren't cold) and told me to bring it back if it happens again. It happens every morning but by the time the dealer gets it it doesn't do it anymore. A PLETHORA of bronco owners are experiencing this same thing. Our thread on [XXX] is full of people experiencing the same thing. Some guy in Canada said he had every brake part replaced and it still happened. Then they did some sort of software update and he hasn't experienced it since. Why is this update not available to all? This is a serious hazard! Someone is going to get hurt! VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Engine started stalking and acting like it wasn’t getting enough gas about a month ago. Took to a dealership and they said u had a cracked file injector line. They supposedly fixed the issue. Today it started stalling again and shut off in the middle of the highway and wouldn’t crank back up. Tried jumping battery and it would turn over but acted like it wasn’t getting any gas when trying to give gas and take off then it would shut off again. Had to get a tow back to dealer ship.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

The rear hardtop panel on my 2022 Ford Bronco has developed serious cracking and surface separation after only three years of light, garage-kept use. The fiberglass is fracturing near the seams, exposing the underlying material. Water is now visibly collecting in the openings, which will lead to internal moisture intrusion, mold, and eventually corrosion of structural components underneath the hardtop mounting area. This poses a serious long-term safety concern, especially in the event of rear impacts or rollover situations. A Ford dealer inspected the issue and submitted a warranty claim, which was denied. The Ford representative acknowledged the damage but said they could not act without a recall or broader investigation. No warning lights or messages appeared; the issue is external and has progressed gradually. The damage began well before my bumper-to-bumper coverage expired, but has recently worsened. Ford’s own General Service Bulletin GSB 23-7174 lists rear hardtop panel cracking and edge delamination as warrantable conditions. My panel clearly fits those descriptions. Still, I was quoted nearly $10,000 for a full replacement, which is unreasonable. This is not an isolated case. Many 2021–2022 Bronco owners have posted identical problems online. Ford is clearly aware of this issue—which is why they issued that bulletin—but is denying claims unless pressured through complaints. I believe this is a materials or manufacturing defect and ask NHTSA to investigate this clear and ongoing failure.

SUSPENSION

Rear passenger shock was leaking oil around braking system creating burnt oil smell while driving. At this point mileage for warranty was over by 2,000 miles and was not covered by Ford warranty. We had to pay over $900.00 for the replacement from Ford. Fast forward 2 months, on the freeway driving 70 mph, the rear driver’s side shock reservoir detached and almost hit the car behind us. Again, we are paying Ford again for the other shock. This recall really needs to be in forced a lot quicker because of the safety of other drivers.

SERVICE BRAKES

After owning the car for 3 years and two weeks my Check Brake System light went on. I took my car to the dealer and was told that I needed a new brake vacuum line. They replaced it with a different part than what was originally installed, leading me to believe that there is something wrong with the original part. And there is no recall for the original part. And because I was out of the warranty period, I had to pay for the $230 part plus $525 of labor. Total bill was $875 for a car just out of warranty.

The second vehicle was t-boned at an estimated speed at the point of impact was 45mph. Both vehicles were a total loss. The Bronco suffered a bent frame and the passenger door would not open. The repair estimate was in excess of $36,000. I have reported the concern to Ford Motor Company under case number CXH-04933824-C1C3G9. At the time of the accident, there were no open recalls, warnings or notifications affecting the airbags or other safety systems. The vehicle was as-delivered by Ford from the factory with all regular service conducted by the local Ford dealership.

The vehicle currently has three active recalls with each not having a remedy as of to date although one I was notified of 7 months ago. I have already had to have a faulty fuel pump repair within the first month or so of onset of purchase where vehicle just lost power and died on side of the road and had to be towed. Then had to fight the dealership and write complaint to Ford after having defective camshaft which took multiple attempts and documentation for FORD and the dealership to repair properly. Vehicle would shift between 2wd/4wd/AWD randomly while driving. Then I had been notified about a windshield wiper motor recall that just dropped of out the system before attempting repair. So never had that update ran or problem addressed. Now I have three other major safety recalls. Definitely a LEMON. Need Ford to stand behind their vehicle. I pay way too much not be safe. None of these failure or problems provided any prior warming indicators.

When turning right, with the turn signal active, the turn signal will over-correct back to neutral and activate the left turn signal. This happens almost every time a sharp right turn is made, such as leaving a parking lot. The signal stalk must then by manually moved back to neutral. This is repeatable and occurs multiple times a week. This creates risk by presenting a false left turn signal to other drivers. This is a common issue on the Bronco, but Ford Motor Company has not provided a fix, TSB, or Recall.

Driving in wet sticky snow the unheated LED headlamps collect snow quickly and provide almost zero projection of light forward. On 03/31/25 at approx. 12:45 AM our 2022 Ford Wild Trak was engulfed in fire while parked on our driveway. There were no occupants, and it had last been operated on 3/30/25 at approximately 1030 PM. During its last operation there was nothing abnormal to indicate the potential of a engine fire (no warning lights, messages, unusual smell or odors, performance issues, smoke, or fire). Upon observing the Ford Bronco Wild Trak for the first time the engine compartment was fully engulfed, and it was clear the fire had started in the engine compartment. The flames from the Ford Bronco Wild Trak eventually spread to a second vehicle destroying it down to the frame and causing enough damage to a third vehicle rendering it a total loss. All three vehicles were within 4 feet of our residence and the flames were hot enough it melted the garage door window frames. The Ford Bronco Wild Trak is frequently parked in our garage, and it been we would have lost our home and the lives of all four family member would have been put at risk. Researching Ford Bronco Wild Trak engine fires, we discovered that Ford Bronco Sports and Ford Escapes both have recalls due to faulty fuel injectors resulting in engine fires. The fuel injectors in Ford Bronco Wild Trak’s are similar to the fuel injectors in both the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes. Due to the similarity between the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes with the Wild Trak fuel Injectors we are asking for the NTSBA to initiate an investigation into Ford Bronco Wild Trak engine fires. The Ford Bronco Wild Trak can be retained for inspection if requested quickly as it is scheduled to be picked up by our insurance company and then disposed.

Hazardous Recall Issue Not Being Addressed Short Term With Permanent Safety Solution Many Months Away Creating Liability For Me, Destroying My Property and Putting Myself and Other Motorist In Jeopardy. For the past month fluid from my Ford Bronco has been leaking leaving stains on newly paved driveway. We just received the following recall... REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS MAY EXPERIENCE CORROSION BETWEEN THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR MOUNTING FLANGE AND THE DAMPER BODY, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE SEPARATION OF THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE... LEAKING FLUID NEAR THE REAR WHEELS PRIOR TO THE DETACHMENT OF AN EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. Safety Risk IF A REAR SHOCK ABSORBER EXTERNAL RESERVOIR SEPARATES FROM THE VEHICLE, IT CAN CREATE A POTENTIAL ROAD HAZARD FOR OTHER ROAD USERS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. Even though the notice says the recall resolution is not expected for over 6 months, I was willing to pay the deductible for my Ford Warranty to get the safety issue fixed, even if I never get reimbursed for Ford's vehicle issue. Since this is a safety issue and are fearful of the the reservoir tank separating since our vehicle is already loosing significant fluid from the reservoir. I brought my vehicle into the local Ford dealership and they confirmed the issue with my car is the same regarding the Recall notice. Even with the warranty, Ford has rejected the claim to replace the shock absorbers. So now I just have to wait while it destroys my driveway and hope a detachment doesn't occur and jeopardize either myself or others driving around me. For reference I'm including my warranty claim # that was rejected with Ford - [XXX]. Happy to provide VIN (instructions say not personal info here). The rear backup camera intermittently is black or has the last backup image being shown. I took my Bronco into the Ford dealer where nothing could be found wrong after having my Bronco for two days. I was told if the backup camera malfunctioned happened again to take video and pictures of what happened, then bring into the dealer that day if the dealer was open so they could see if they issue remained. I did and was told by another service representative the service department couldn't take a look at the vehicle today a Friday and to bring it in Monday. When I got back my Bronco and restarted the rear camera was functioning correctly. I do have pictures and video of the last image remaining when I placed my Bronco in reverse. One image on the left side of the IMG_5347.jpeg attached shows the image of the reverse image prior to the current backup image. The right side of the picture shows the actual image in reverse. The image IMG_5348.jpeg shows the mileage and the vehicle in reverse. The pdf documents the Ford dealer service department could not find the issue that happen prior to 09/04/2024 service date. I have a video of trying to use the backup camera with the previous image shown in left side of the screen showing what happens. It doesn't happen all the time. If you turnoff vehicle and restart the issue goes away.

Stitching and seals on the soft top have separated creating concern over large tear that could separate the soft top material from the frame and cause a safety issue. Brought this to the attention of the local dealer and said it would be addressed but they failed to address issue with return communication from dealer. Took to another dealer and Ford refused to repair despite it being approved previously and the stitching separating even further. The vehicle has been well maintained and not abused in any form or fashion. This is a concerning issue

Vehicle was shifted into 4L on a relative flat surface. Vehicle would not indicate successful transfer to 4L, just a blinking 4L indicator light and then a message to place vehicle in N and then pull forward. After unsuccessful attempt to engage 4L, tried to return to regular driving mode and vehicle would not. After turning car off and even disconnecting battery, vehicle would not function as expected. Returned to the vehicle and got a Powertrain Malfunction error and service message. Called Ford and had it shipped to Landers Ford in Southaven Mississippi and awaiting inspection.

There is a bulletin that ford sent out that includes wipers intermittently not working properly when detecting rain. The issue happens when the normal steady wiper speed is selected and the issue isn’t resolved until the wipers are turned off and on again then the issue persists. Ford will not cover this issue even with a bulletin for a car 2,000 miles over their warranty. Further more fords extended warranty they offer at their dealerships will not cover this issue as well even though it extends the manufacturer warranty. This is a safety issue while driving in the rain

I pulled up to a parking spot and when I tried to brake to place my car into park my brakes would not engage and my vehicle kept moving forward. I had to slam my car into park to prevent from slamming into a barrier. My rear camera goes in and out of a blank screen when “backing up” or reversing.
