9999 EVENFLO REVOLVE360 SLIM
ID: 2112156Carry Handle, Shell, Base
During a vehicle accident, my 2.5 year old daughter's car seat detached from the base and landed in the back part of my part. We were t-boned on the passenger side back seat. We spun and the car seat detached and she was flung around the car. She had severe whiplash, a contusion and possible fabric burn on her head. She was buckled in properly and the car seat was properly installed. Yes, all parties (other than manufacturer) saw and inspected the car seat.

The crotch buckle and it is available for inspection whenever is needed. The strap of the crotch belt in fraying and if the vehicle was in an accident the harness will fail and the baby will slide out of the car seat. We sent photos to the manufacturer and they said it is frayed but it “appears to be related to external environmental factors, and not any issue traceable to the design or manufacturing of the product”. At the end of the email they then added a courtesy coupon for 25% off for a replacement car seat.

The base of the car seat gets stuck while trying to rotate it, I also got unlock by itself twice while I was driving with the baby secured in it. Already spoke to the manufacturer and they said it was an on going problem with this car seat

The base does not move but the seat shell moves a lot even when in the locked position. The seat is installed correctly. My concern is that the movement will create inertia, causing more force to baby when it stops in the event of an incident. I have two videos showing the issue.

The styrofoam padding of the headrest came unglued from the plastic base of the headrest. This was discovered when removing fabric to wash the fabric. Car was not driving at the time.

I removed the carrier from my vehicle to clean below it and found two parts on the base that connect the seat / carrier to the base are broken.

The car sear base comes with a plastic seatbelt guide. When you install the car seat using the anchors, tighten the belt and press down on the tightening lever, a piece of the plastic guide bows upward and causes the car seat to become stuck when rotating. Evenflo asked for it back and sent the same one model which is having the same issue.

While trying to reinstall the evenflo car seat, the latch to lock the car seat into place failed. The metal on the car seat is broken. The car seat has been used in the vehicle for less than a year, and if I had not noticed this upon trying to move the car seat it could have caused a serious injury should my child have been involved in an accident.
