CHILD SEAT
Evenflo Company, Inc. (Evenflo) is recalling certain child seats and travel systems. Please refer to Evenflo's recall report for specific model numbers. The child seats and travel systems are missing the USA recall registration card. As such, these child seats and travel systems fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, "Child Restraint Systems."
Risk: A missing recall registration card may result in an unregistered child seat, which can delay recall notification and increase the risk of injury.

The straps for the harness keep coming off the splitter plate when I go to tighten the straps. I’ve double checked that they’re secured to the splitter plate before tightening and they still come off as I’m tightening. I reported two incidents to the manufacturer and they’ve nothing to investigate and chalked it up to user error but I’m doing everything they said to do to prevent it and short of getting a bigger splitter plate there’s nothing I can do on my end to prevent this happening

I tested this car seat as a part of the Stellar Product testing panel. I installed the car seat according to the requirements and got all green indicators. However when I put the car seat in the base, the baby was almost completely upright and after a short period in the car, I found her head slumped forward on her chest. This happened a second time on the short drive home and I uninstalled the car seat and did not use it again. I described the incident in my review. When I read other reviews, several other people reported the same issue. My baby is too young to have head control and this car seat is inappropriately reclined for an infant seat. The older models of this seat are clearly much more appropriately reclined. These need to be investigated before someone’s baby is hurt or suffocates. The seat is Evenflo LITEMAX NXT with sensory soothe and sensor safe.

This issues is regarding the front of the canopy. The base of the canopy clip, where it attaches to the car seat nearest the handle, has broken off pieces. These pieces have flow into the car seat where my child sits. It I had not noticed this happening, my child could have tried to put that piece in their mouth and choked or because for the sharp edges on the splintered piece, cause more serious damage. This breakage is on both end of the canopy clip. In addition, the piece that the clip is supposed to attach to has become warped from repeated use.
