Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024 Entegra Condor, Jayco Granite Ridge, 2025 Jayco Alante SE, Redhawk SE, and Entegra Odyssey SE motorhomes. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) on the Federal label may be incorrect and allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - other than passenger cars."
Risk: An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024 Jayco Granite Ridge, Solstice, Entegra Coach Condor, Expanse, and Expanse LI motorhomes. An inadequate amount of rear axle lubricant may cause rear axle tail bearing damage and seizure, which can result in wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation.
Risk: Wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation can result in a loss of drive power. A disconnected driveshaft can also result in a roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

The contact owns a 2024 Entegra Condor built on a 2023 Ford Transit Chassis. The contact stated that while driving at 10 MPH, the contact became aware of smoke coming from the rear of the RV. The contact had just picked up the RV from the storage facility and while driving pass the gate, the contact smelled and saw smoke inside the cab of the RV and saw flames coming from the RV. The contact pulled over immediately exited the vehicle and retrieved the fire extinguisher. The contact stated that the fire was in the rear of the RV. The contact used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire and then called the Fire Department for assistance. Additionally, the contact turned off the lithium battery to prevent electrical power continuing to run in the RV. After the fire had been extinguished, the smoke alarm sounded. The contact parked the RV at the storage facility. Later, the contact drove the RV to the dealer. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact notified the Insurance provider and was waiting on a diagnostic test by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the fire and referred the contact to the Insurance provider for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

I was purchasing a new Jayco Entegra Condor at a RV show, being sold by La Mesa RV. When I looked underneath, the nylock nut was missing from the passenger side, rear anti-sway bar. I brought it to the attention of the salesman, and the following day, it was replaced with a standard fender washer, lock washer, and nut. The RV, at the time, was new and had less than 1,700 miles on it. Had the bolt fallen out, the one side of the anti-sway bar would have become unsecured from the vehicle, possible causing stability issues while driving. I've attached a photo of both the left and right anti-sway bar attachment points with the current bolts, washers, and nuts.

The rear sway bar malfunctioned due to loose and missing nuts and one bolt. The front tires jumped a bit during the turns. I later discovered the sway bar was disconnected from the body due to the missing nuts and bolts. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Unstable during turning. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The owner discovered and confirmed by multiple owners who own the same RV. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Unstable turns.

Jayco/Entegra builds the Granite Ridge/Condor (same RV, just different brand names) on a Ford Transit chassis. Jayco upfits the Transit with a 2" lift that includes a Hellwig rear sway bar. The sway bar is connected to the chassis with a link (a steel rod.) The link is being installed incorrectly, resulting in complete detachment of the sway bar from the link, defeating the purpose of the sway bar. Because the sway bar is important to the stability of the vehicle, failure of the sway bar can result in excess body roll of the vehicle in high winds or when turning, potentially leading to a roll-over accident. The upper end of the link is connected to the vehicle chassis by a bolt that attaches to the frame of the vehicle. The lower end of the link connects to the sway bar by use of a bolt, some bushings and a nut. Jayco is failing to install the lower nut or is installing it in such a way that it becomes detached from the bolt. Jayco has acknowledged that their installation is incorrect. In their email to me, dated 2/17/2025, they admitted to me: "Good afternoon [XXX] , The original problem was the installer was leaving the Ford washer on & putting another washer that was in the rear stabilizer kit (too many washers). There should only be 1 washer & than the lock nut, tightened to 52 ft. lbs. & the threads of the bolt should extend through the locking nut. As of current there has been no bulletin released yet. Wayne Wigner Customer Service Specialists" Even though they have known about the problem since at least September, 2024, they have yet to offer a correction. They also continue to sell new vehicles that have not been corrected! In a recent poll of owners on Facebook, 20 out of 26 owners reported their sway bar nuts were missing! I have repeatedly asked Jayco to offer a remedy ASAP as this is a dangerous condition.
