The 2007 ELDORADO TRANSTECH has 0 complaints and 6 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owner feedback is unavailable due to the lack of complaints.

Six recalls involve multiple systems including exterior lighting, wheels, air conditioning units, and adaptive/mobility equipment such as wheelchair lifts. The recalls address possible safety hazards like fire risk, tire failure, and equipment malfunction.

Recalls
  • Exterior lighting. Recall 10V038000 affects 1,227 buses with Grote Industries LED lamp markers. Moisture can enter the lamp housing causing lamp failure, overheating, melting, and potential fire. This poses a risk of property damage, injury, or death. The remedy involves free replacement of the LED marker lamps beginning March 2010.
  • Wheels. Recall 10V370000 applies to 246 buses produced with incorrect wheel well profile cutouts reducing clearance between molding screws and tires. Screws may rub against tires leading to tire failure and loss of vehicle control. Dealers will inspect, modify the wheel well profile, and install new fasteners at no charge since August 2010.
  • Air conditioner evaporators. Recall 11V243000 involves 4,333 buses equipped with Carrier Genv EM-1 evaporator units where fuses may loosen causing high resistance and arcing. Adequate arcing could melt the fuse holder and cause a vehicle fire. Carrier provides retrofit kits and free repairs, with the recall starting April 2011.
  • Wheelchair lift roll stops. Recall 12V356000 covers 2,215 buses with Braun Century-2 and Vista-2 wheelchair lifts. Roll stop latches may bend or misalign, allowing a wheelchair occupant to fall if the lift is elevated. Dealers repair affected vehicles free of charge since September 2012.
  • Wheelchair lift platform side plates. Recall 14V610000 affects 178 buses on Ford and Chevrolet chassis with Ricon wheelchair lifts. Platform side plates may crack causing the platform to separate and fall when the lift doors open, risking injury. Supplemental support bumpers are installed or cracked platforms replaced free starting October 2014.
  • Wheelchair lift folding link arms. Recall 15V750000 concerns 2,978 buses with Ricon lifts having pivot holes that may allow bearing displacement. This can cause excessive movement and platform failure, with the lift platform falling out and risking injury. Inspections and part replacements are performed free since December 2015. This recall applies even if the 2014 recall remedies were implemented.

Owners with buses facing persistent repairs, safety defects, or unresolved recall issues may have rights under state lemon law statutes. Consulting legal guidance may assist in understanding those rights.

Eldorado National- Kansas (Eldorado) is recalling certain model year 2006-2015 Aerotech, AeroElite, Aerolite, Advantage, Transtech, and Krystal shuttle buses and model year 2006-2014 VersaShuttle shuttle buses manufactured January 1, 2006, to August 25, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by the Ricon Corporation. The affected lifts are equipped with folding link arms that may have pivot holes that are too big, allowing the bearings to move out of position.

Risk: If the bearings move out of position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheel chair lift platform to fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury for the lift operator.
