Corrosion may cause valve securing rings to fail, opening the pressure relief valve and reducing firefighting water pressure, raising injury risk by hindering firefighting. Dealers install stainless steel retaining rings free of charge since January 2018.
• Aerial ladder hydraulic filter. Recall 16V801000 concerns 196 trucks from 2014-2016. A design change causes the aerial ladder’s hydraulic fluid filter to leak, risking aerial device malfunction and injury. Dealers inspect and replace the filter and head assembly as needed at no cost. Recall began November 2016.
