I was driving on the Highway at 70 mph and the rear passenger tire blew out. Thank God I was able to stopped the car safely and no one was injured. It was a scary moment and it is still is.My safety and other was at risk It is a brand new car with only 4397 miles. I took the car to the dealership and they replaced the tire. They found NO indications of a puncture or road hazard. Tire split at the shoulder and sidewall. Tire description Dunlop Grantrek 225/60 R 18

The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the contact stated that there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the rear driver’s side tire. Upon inspecting the vehicle the following morning, the contact became aware that the tire was flat. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the tire was taken to a tire repair shop, and it was determined that the tire could not be repaired, and a stone was removed from inside of the tire. The tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 800.
