Emissions System Caught Fire Upon returning from a 40 minute, local motorcycle ride my 2015 Ducati 1199R started to smoke and then caught fire as I was riding it down my driveway. I saw the small orange flames and turned the bike off; fortunately a garden hose was nearby. After removing the exhaust system mufflers (includes cat), I observed that the operating cable (and associated black thermal insulation) for the exhaust system flapper valve had ignited and burned.
