Recalls
  • Sliding attendant seat locking pin. NHTSA recall 21V183000 affects 12 vehicles. The locking pin assembly in the sliding attendant seat on the passenger side may fail under load, risking occupant restraint during a crash. Serious injury can occur if the pin fails. Braun will replace the assembly free of charge starting April 2, 2021.
  • Rear brake caliper flexible line wear. Recall 20V323000 covers 31 ambulances from 2019-2020 equipped with Compressible Liquid Adaptive Suspension Systems (C.L.A.S.S.). The rear brake caliper flexible line may contact suspension components causing excessive wear and brake fluid leaks. This could result in total or partial loss of rear braking, increasing crash risk. Braun will replace the lines and hardware at no cost with repairs beginning July 21, 2020.
  • Service brakes hydraulic lines. Part of recall 20V323000 which addresses improper routing of rear brake caliper flexible lines. Brake fluid leakage may occur from worn lines, resulting in reduced braking ability. Free replacement of lines and fittings is provided by dealers after owner notification.
  • Suspension rear components. Included in recall 20V323000 involving 31 units, the routing of brake lines close to suspension parts may cause wear and brake failures. Braun will perform corrective work at no cost to owners to prevent brake loss and improve safety.

Owners who deal with repeated repairs related to these recalls or unresolved safety defects may have rights under state lemon laws. Consulting those laws might be advisable for cases involving ongoing safety issues.
