Recalls- Rear axle drive pinion. NHTSA recall 22V316000 affects 5 vehicles due to possible fracture of the rear axle drive pinion. A fractured pinion may contact the brake drop hose and unintentionally engage the parking brake without alerting the driver. - Fuel rail sealing washer. Recall 21V630000 covers 48 vehicles with Cummins L9 diesel engines. The sealing washer may fail to seat correctly causing high-pressure fuel rail leaks, which increase fire risk. Cummins will inspect and replace faulty fuel rails and lines free of charge. Owner notifications were mailed on August 8, 2021.
- Power steering pump. Recall 21V618000 includes 8 vehicles where pressure can build in the power steering pump, breaking the shaft seal and causing loss of power steering assist. This defect raises crash risk. Spartan will remove and replace the pump at no cost. Notification schedules are pending.
- Fire water pump solenoid. Recall 21V628000 affects 12 vehicles. Internal corrosion of the solenoid may cause loss of power to the pump control module, resulting in reduced water pressure for fire fighting and increased injury risk. Spartan Fire LLC will replace the pump shift solenoid free of charge. Notifications were sent July 12, 2021.
- Electrical system related to pump solenoid. Also under recall 21V628000 involving the same 12 vehicles, the power loss to the pump control module due to solenoid corrosion affects electrical functions linked to fire suppression. Repairs are provided free by Spartan Fire LLC with prior owner notification.
