2023 CHRYSLER 300 Complaints and Recall Information
The 2023 CHRYSLER 300 has 5 complaints and 2 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to the airbag system and the rear parking sensors. There is also a reported problem with premature brake rotor warping.
- Airbag failure. One owner reported that the airbags did not deploy during a rear-end collision, resulting in injury and an airbag system service notification.
- Rear parking sensor malfunction. Multiple complaints indicate the sensors failed to alert drivers to obstacles, causing collisions while backing up.
- Brake rotor warping. An owner stated rotors warped at just over 5,000 miles due to overheating caused by large Brembo calipers, though the dealership refused warranty coverage.
Two recalls address safety systems related to braking. The affected vehicles include the 2023 Chrysler 300 along with select Dodge models. The defects involve the parking brake adjustments that could increase collision risk.
- Parking brake adjustment. NHTSA recall 24V112000 affects 1,808 vehicles. The parking brake may be improperly adjusted, causing potential vehicle roll away that violates federal brake safety standards. This increases the risk of crash or injury. Dealers will adjust the parking brake free of charge. Owner notifications were mailed in February 2024 and repairs are available through Chrysler dealers.
Owners facing repeated repairs for airbag or sensor failures or unresolved recall repairs may have rights under state lemon laws. Consulting a consumer protection attorney might be advisable for those with ongoing safety defects or serious concerns.

My rotors warped with 5,260 miles and dealership would not cover the issue stating it is wear and tear. The brembo brake calipers are large and creates to much heat and causes the rotors to overheat and warp.
