ID: 2123227Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
There seems to be a known issue w/ the magnetic chest clip on these seats. The chest clip gets stuck, and even when it seems to be latched together properly it will unclip w/ any pressure. In the case of a collision this could be incredibly dangerous if someone isn't aware they need to check the chest clip when buckling. Originally thought it was just something sticky in it then when I started looking into how to clean it I discovered this has been an issue for a long time apparently.

Fit360 magnetic chest clip is showing many faulty issues with design. Sometimes it will just come undone and unclip itself, other time it fell apart in my hand while removing the child from the car seat. When it fell apart it did not break, just came completely undone into multiple parts. This is a huge issue as it happened while we were out and I had to piece it back together to get home putting the child at risk. I called Chicco to request a replacement and they are sending a new clip. Based on online responses, (Reddit) this is happening to multiple people and chicco is just offering replacement of the same piece with same issues. Photos show how it came apart in pieces into my hand.

Car seat chest clip is remaining in the released position and unable to be used again without significant effort in getting to go back into the locking position. Parent has been able to get it to engage so far so child’s safety has not been put at risk. Manufacturer has been contacted and is sending a replacement chest clip and stated this is not a common problem. Manufacturer is sending a prepaid return envelope requesting item for inspection, but is currently in parent’s possession. Parent is a CPST.

ID: 2119065CHILD SEAT:BASE:LOCKING/RELEASE MECHANISM
Fit360 base loosens over time (in a matter of days) after a tight install with almost no movement at belt path. Seat installed with both seatbelt and tether. Lever door lock doesn’t seem faulty but after several rotations, the base begins to loosen and the seat is then loose when tested at belt path. After a week of usage, it no longer stays within the inch of allowable movement despite initial correct and tight install. Continues to happen and manufacturer is unhelpful as to why. Manufacturer stated to lock seatbelt and while it helps, the base still loosens.

I got my child out of her Chicco fit360 at a store, when I came out to put her back in, the chest clip release buttons were stuck. The chest clip would not close together because the open buttons were stuck. I kept pushing them trying to get them to release, I tried pushing them out from the inside & finally got them to release. After the hour drive home, when I went to open the chest clip, the side that had the buttons stuck completely fell apart in my hand when I pushed the release buttons. Every single button, piece, spring, etc fell apart into my hand. I chatted with Chicco & they are sending me a new chest clip.
