SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:BRAKE FLUID LOW WARNING:SWITCH/SENSOR/FLOAT
General Motors (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD vehicles. The brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause a short circuit.
Risk: An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the circuit and increase the risk of a fire while driving or parked.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, 6500HD vehicles. The air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) may not have been activated during installation.
Risk: Inactive air bags will not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4500, 5500 and 6500 vehicles and 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 vehicles and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles equipped with Duramax 6.6 liter diesel engines and an optional engine-block heater. The engine block heater cord or the terminals that connect the heater cord to the block heater may short circuit and fail.
Risk: A short-circuit may damage the engine components and increase the risk of fire.

Vehicle lost engine power on the road. Light display came on stating engine reduce power. It would not pull the trailer. Had to pull over and the display went away only to appear again later. We brought vehicle to chevrolet dealer . The part needed to hopefully fix is on backorder. There is also recall with no available remedy. This is a revenue generating vehicle. We had this problem happen on and off. Dealer didn't want us to bring in until the light physically stayed on dashboard for them to assess vehicle. It was now been in shop for over 2 months

2023 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 4500

The contact owns a 2023 GM GM515. The contact stated that the vehicle was designed with a 12-Volt power brake booster auxiliary pump. The contact stated that upon parking and turning off the vehicle, the power brake booster auxiliary pump was running and making a loud sound. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the pump stopped running; however, the failure recurred while the vehicle was turned off. The brake warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon disconnecting the power brake booster auxiliary pump wiring cable, the failure ceased; however, the failure recurred upon reconnecting the power brake booster auxiliary pump wiring cable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake pressure switch was faulty due to brake fluid intrusion. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under GM Campaign Number: N222375270. The dealer replaced the brake pressure switch. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 59,500.
