(NHTSA recall 21V054000) About 1,778,128 vehicles recalled for inflators with phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate propellant that may explode due to humidity and heat exposure. Explosion risk involves sharp metal fragments causing serious injury or death. GM will replace inflators free of charge with multiple owner notifications sent.
  • Passenger air bag inflator. (NHTSA recall 21V050000) Approximately 2,641,272 vehicles recalled for the same inflator defect affecting earlier model years and geographic zones.
