Cruise Control I was nearly in a severe accident because of the way Chevrolet Cruise control works when I was on the highway and traffic slowed down briefly and my vehicle continued to run at the set miles and didn't slow down when I was approaching the vehicle in front of me. When I purchased the vehicle (2025 Chev Colorado) I was not informed that 'Gap' detection does not work as it does in most other modern vehicles. This feature is only available in higher end vehicles in what they call Adapter Cruise Control. My pamphlet "Getting to know your 2025 Colorado explains how to use ACC with no mention it is an option only available on higher end vehicles. I consider it a safety hazard that Cruise Control in its normal setting does not use the Gap setting as most modern vehicles do making it a safety issue, especially when you have a 2nd vehicle that works this way automatically. It was only after 2 service visits that I was told that how it works and that even though it is an option, it is not something that Chevrolet can install in my vehicle. Making it even more confusing the 'GAP' setting is available on my steering wheel controls making the user think this option is actually available when, in fact it is not. I feel Chevrolet needs to fix this potential safety issue by making the Cruise control work in the same manner other manufactures have done for several years.

[XXX] I purchased a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado zr2 Midnight Edition from Preston Hood Chevrolet in Crestview, Florida. I had been waiting to see this truck for a couple days as it was listed on their website. They said it was in service but when I asked why they did not tell me. When I went to the dealership to buy it I asked again why it had been in service and the salesman said he did not know but he said this truck has a lot of accessories they had to put on it. I drove the truck home, and then to work the next day and in my way home the brake system completely failed. I kept pushing fully on the brakes and it kept going and took quite some time to stop. I noticed multiple brake warnings and was stranded on a very busy street with cars flying by. This was not a safe area. When I called the dealership I asked point blank if the brakes was the reason I was unable to see the truck for the days I was waiting to purchase it and he said yes. The car was towed to a close by chevy dealership. (Sandy sansing chevrolet) and My husband drove me back to Preston Hood ( the selling dealership) And explained that I would never feel safe in that truck again as the incident scared me more than anything I can remember. I wanted my trade in back and the deal reversed primarily because they lied to me about why the truck was in the service department. I would have never considered purchasing a vehicle with brake issues. I asked for the prior service records and they had already changed the master cylinder and other items. The next day after many phone calls they finally gave me my trade back. I am not reporting for any personal gain, only to help keep someone else from getting killed by this obvious KNOWN issue with this truck. This truck was purchased May 2025 and currently has 2600 miles. Without any warning the brake light and ABS warning lights came on along with messages reading Brake Assist,ESC, and Trailer Brake require service. I took my truck in to a Chevrolet dealer on Aug 18, 2025 for inspection of issue. I was informed the Master Cylinder has failed and because this was a “SAFETY” issue I could not take drive my truck and they would not allow me to remove the vehicle from their lot. I understand there has been many people with this same issue. Why has a recall not been issued? Why is Chevrolet still selling these trucks? This needs to be addressed ASAP to save lives.

Started the vehicle and 4 dash lights were on. The ABS light, the forward collision system light, the BRAKE light, and the traction control light. The vehicle was taken to a dealership and we have been notified by the dealer that it is a Master Brake Cylinder failure. The part is on national backorder with no ETA. Luckily, it did not fail while driving, but could've been tragic. This vehicle is brand new and belongs to my 16 year old. This is a known issue on the Colorado, Traverse, and possibly other models. However, I have yet to find a recall or TSB. Brake cylinders are FAILING in brand new vehicles and GM needs to address it.

Purchased brand new April 24, 2025 within two days of purchase the infotainment system went blank after a few seconds it reloaded. This happened off and on for a couple of weeks dealer replied its a known issue. After 5 weeks the infotainment system and the driver dash went completely blank and stayed that way. The infotainment system had a picture of a care with a wrench and screw driver stating software update failed. I was out of town and stopped at a certified Chevrolet dealer and was told they could not fix it. That there was a software update but no eta on when it would be sent over the air. Now the infortainment system doesnt load when i start the car just the warning about the software update. I took the vehicle to a local dealership and they had the vehicle for 5 hours and could not get the system to accept or update the software. Sometimes the infortainment center will load but doesnt work properly and continues to go blank while driving leaving me with no speedometer, fuel availability, etc.

Subject: Urgent Safety and Usability Concern – 2025 Chevrolet Colorado Infotainment/Instrument Cluster Failure To Whom It May Concern, I own a new 2025 Chevrolet Colorado, purchased on June 23, 2025. Just four days later, on June 27, both the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster went completely dark, rendering the vehicle unsafe and inoperable. It has only 78 miles on it. After researching the issue, I learned this is a known problem to GM and is addressed in Service Bulletin PIT6362 released on 2 April 2025. The bulletin advises dealers not to replace hardware components as the issue stems from a software anomaly. However, there is currently no estimated timeline for a resolution. This leaves me — and presumably many others — with a an expensive investment that cannot be safely driven. Dealer is picking up the vehicle Monday June 23 but I have low confidence they know what to do. This situation is unacceptable. A total loss of vehicle instrumentation and infotainment severely compromises safety, functionality, and trust in the Chevrolet brand. It is alarming that vehicles with such a critical defect were allowed to reach customers. I am requesting the following: Immediate acknowledgment and escalation of this case Clear explanation of how GM is addressing PIT6362 Temporary or permanent remedy to restore my vehicle’s functionality Compensation or alternative transportation options while the issue persists A case number and point of contact for follow-up My question is how GM can continue to sell these defective vehicles knowing someone could, quite literally, get killed.

On [XXX] after only 400 miles on the odometer, I experienced complete transmission failure while on a highway and was nearly hit by the vehicle behind me, luckily that did not happen. On April 29th, a new replacement transmission was installed by the Chevy dealer, and now on [XXX] I had experienced a severe burning smell from under the hood of the vehicle accompanied with a grinding sound, which lead to me to take it back to the dealer. On 05/15/25, the customer care manager informed me that the new transmission from the factory has metal debris inside the pan, and the vehicle would again require a complete "tear down". This is very unsafe for major powertrain components from the GM factory to keep failing, another failed transmission on a brand new truck like this is very unsafe especially because I drive on major highways to commute for work and transport my young children. This is unsafe for the public and my family, GM needs to be held accountable, they also refuse to refund me my money back on this vehicle, and are disregarding Lemon Laws in NYS. On [XXX] at approximately [XXX{}, my new 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss which I purchased from the dealer brand new on [XXX], experienced a sudden catastrophic transmission failure which led to myself nearly being severely injured/possibly killed while driving on a main road in New York; on the way to pick up my two small children. The vehicle while on a main road (state highway) with other vehicles traveling at speeds of 40mph or greater, experienced a sudden mechanical failure that resulted in a complete loss of acceleration, and my vehicle was nearly rear ended by high-speed oncoming traffic behind me. As a medical professional, this is extremely frightening, because a mechanical issue like this could have led to the significant traumatic injuries to myself, my children and others. Upon the vehicle coming to a complete stop in the middle of this main road/state highway, the vehicle was turned back on and then went into a "Limp Mode" and was able to slowly crawl to the dealership which it was purchased from nearby. Luckily with the limp mode and hazard lights, I was able to safely make it to the dealer service department. There was a check engine light that then appeared on the dashboard after the vehicle had come to complete stop on the road, there were no indicators or symptoms that were occurring prior to this event. The vehicle was inspected by the service department of the dealership on 04/15/25, with the result as per the service manager and general manager being a major Transmission component failing- (Valve Body Failure). The service manager and general manager did not tell me if they would send the defective part to the manufacturer for inspection, they seemed more focused on having me leave the dealership and being satisfied with a repaired defective un-safe vehicle.
