General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, Equinox, and GMC Terrain vehicles. The door strikers may fracture, resulting in the door opening unexpectedly.

Risk: A door opening while the vehicle is being driven can increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

The glare reflecting from the dashboard on to the windshield is many times blinding and obstructs a lot of the front view. Also randomly the side mirrors tilt up while driving giving me a view of the sky but not the road behind me.

Purchased a brand new 2024 Blazer on [XXX] - 11 miles on the vehicle from Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, TX. Transmission failed at 1150 miles in Galveston, TX on [XXX]. According to the Galveston Dealership an extensive transmission repair was performed on the vehicle at 6 miles. According to the GM rep I spoke with, that maintenance was performed as a Service Bulletin Recall. Car was transported to Dallas by GM. Parts are on back order. No ETA for resolution. The driver pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway. After a visual inspection, the contact observed that the exhaust mounting bracket had disconnected. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic by the rental company, and the vehicle was repaired; however, the contact’s daughter was not provided with the diagnostic results. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 29,000.
