General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

Risk: Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Warning message flashes "put car in park" after putting it in park and pushing the stop button. It flashes for a few minutes, beeps the horn alert, and you can't lock it . It was diagnosed at a Chevy dealership as needing new switch and jumper harness at almost $800.

I am currently receiving a shift to park message displayed while my vehicle has been put in park and after I turn the vehicle off. While the message is displayed, the doors will not lock and a bell will not stop dinging, notifying me of the error. The contact stated that while attempting to turn off the vehicle on several occasions, the gear shifter was shifted into park(P) but the vehicle failed to recognize that the gear shifter was in park(P). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift controller sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred within two months. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift control sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Some of us know that EMI will affect low voltage signals. As an HVAC system designer, I know that un-shielded low voltage communication wiring cannot run parallel two line voltage power wiring. The effects are not continuous, but definitely reoccurring. I also understand there has not been a recall for this issue which surprises me. I can replace the thermostat even in its difficult position, but I don't feel comfortable in separating the low voltage wiring from the harness. I understand that dealers who are aware of this issue, charge a hefty fee to do so. It's definitely one that I can't afford.

we have a start / stop issue with our 2019 chevy blazer . the dashboard states to put into park .we cannot turn car off with this on dashboard . why is this not a safety recall , because we have seen a lot off people complaining about the same issue . WE CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATE , and they told us there is no recall for that . we also got a postcard from a lawyer stating there is a settlement this . what are legal options to get this resolved .

My check engine light came on (solid) and my AC stopped blowing cold air and my auto start stopped working. I used a diagnostic tool to read the code and it said "P0128 Coolant Thermostat $07e8". The same thing happens with my heat when it gets too cold out.

Action Required: Steering Assist is Reduced Drive with Care & Check Engine Light comes on after the alert message. When these are on, the ac does not get cold. Unhooking the battery resets it for a few days and then it comes back on.

Coolant Thermostat needs replaced at 59945 miles. The temperature gauge stopped working and the A/C unit shut off. The temperature outside created a safety issue for my family and I to ride in the car. The engine light came on and a message that stated the Steering Assist was effected. 1. Wire harness with coil wires is the problem. It was fixed by a local shop and the vehicle can be inspected if needed. 2. The car throws a code for a faulty thermostat/coolant temp sensor. This will not allow the car get to oporating temp and could cause engine damage or not perform properly causing risk of an accident. Also this will reduce the driver assist features such as lane assist and adaptive cruise/braking. 3. Yes. 4. A local shop inspected the thermostat and coolant temp sensor and they oporated as they should. 5. The engine light comes on for the reasons mentioned above. It also has a "driver assist reduced" message. It appeared randomly while driving and stayed on for multiple days. Vehicle had a code for a bad thermostat/coolant temp sensor and "driver assist reduced" message. The cause is NOT the temp sensor or thermostat and is actually a wiring harness that two wires need to be separated from the bunch. The frequency from one wire interferes with the coolant temp sensor wires. I am on several forums for chevy blazers and there are TONS of posts about this issue with the 3.6 V6. Most people will go in and have these expensice parts replaced. It is not acceptable to have people get charged for a $800+ job when the part is not faulty.

Thermostat has failed. Mechanical failure not related to steering the vehicle - has caused a safety concern.

I keep getting a message "Action Required. Steering assist is reduced. Drive with care." The code I get is P0128. I hear this is a common problem and I think GM needs to recall this problem.

It does turn back on eventually but I have to pull over to the side and accelerate the engine until it finally stays on. I drives that way turning off at lights and stops. After about 10-15 minutes of this , it finally stays on long enough to drive another 20 minutes or so to get home. After it rests for a few hours, it goes like normal. This is a big safety concern for me since these episodes happen every week when I fill up my car with gas. I have almost been hit from behind during these episodes and it is very scary and such a hassle to have to deal with this every week. I have already had several Chevy dealers and mechanics work on this problem and it continues to act up like this. I have all the paperwork for the work that has been done. $15, 000 have already been spent on this problem and the problem still continues. Please help me. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

I bought a 2019 Chevy Blazer in February 2023 . The vehicle has issues when I fill it with gas. As soon as I gas up to full it starts jerking immediately afterwards. It makes loud popping sounds. The engine dies completely. It starts to tremble and will not go. When I try to turn in back on , the starter works very hard before it will turn back on. It does turn back on eventually but I have to pull over to the side and accelerate the engine until it finally stays on. I drives that way turning off at lights and stops. After about 10-15 minutes of this , it finally stays on long enough to drive another 20 minutes or so to get home. After it rests for a few hours, it goes like normal. This is a big safety concern for me since these episodes happen every week when I fill up my car with gas. I have almost been hit from behind during these episodes and it is very scary and such a hassle to have to deal with this every week. I have already had several Chevy dealers and mechanics work on this problem and it continues to act up like this. I have all the paperwork for the work that has been done. $15, 000 have already been spent on this problem and the problem still continues. Please help me. I like chevy vehicles and have always bought chevy but this is the second chevy vehicle that has given me problems when I gas up. Please look into this problem. Consistent Blazer issue. Error coded “steering assist reduced. Please drive with care”. There is a thermostat issue. Causing the car to sputter and not run properly. This a common issue with Blazers and a manufacturer default. Should be recalled and covered. It is a safety issue.

Steer assist and thermostat issue. The vehicle has 42,000 miles on it. Have not been able to obtain/find a new thermostat since November 2024.

Reduced steering warning, the temperature gague is stuck on C, radiator fan is running on high as soon as I start my car and the transmission is shifting hard at second and third gears.

POWER TRAIN

When I go to put my car in park, I get a notice warning chime to shift it into park. Which then results me into not being able to turn off my car. I am then forced to sit in the car and try to wiggle the shifter until it registers that the car itself is in park. . This first happened to me a few days ago with my toddler and infant child in the car. Compromising my safety as well as the safety of my children, since I was now forced to sit in a public parking lot with my kids in the car trying to not only turn off the car, but also trying to make sure my car was properly parked and not an endangerment to others. I recently called a dealership on feb26,2025 and found out I had the problem fixed once before in 2021. I’m now currently working on getting my car to the dealer to get this issue resolved asap. Which is an inconvenience to me, my schedule as well as the schedule of others, since I now need assistance getting to and from the dealer along with taking my children to school and or appointments.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS

It is a known manufacturing defect and GM refuses to cover the cost to add a bandaid to it as there is no permanent fix. This is a safety issue, and now my car is not reliable, nor safe. GM refuses to issue a recall on this.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle accelerated and decelerated independently. The contact stated that the message to "Shift to Park" was displayed while shifted to park(P). The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and the contact was informed that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

When I shift the car into park and turn it off I get a message that it isn’t in park though it is as displayed on the console. To clear the message I have to move the shifter back and forward several times. I’ve had it in the shop twice already but the problem continues to return. This should be a recall!!
