Common Issues- Electronic shift malfunction. Vehicle stalls and becomes stuck in park due to electronic shift failure, requiring manual neutral release that dealers cannot properly explain or perform, leaving the vehicle immobile.
- Infotainment system failure. System fails to display properly during parking or driving. Dealer replaced an undisclosed part and performed a software update but could not diagnose the root cause.
- Multiple dashboard warnings. Driver information center displays ESC failure affecting the anti-lock braking system, steering assist reduction involving lane departure support, parking brake malfunction, and cruise control inoperability.
- Expensive repairs anticipated. A repair bulletin exists for the electronic safety systems issues with estimated initial repair costs exceeding $3,000, plus potential additional charges if the repair does not resolve the problems.
- Warranty concerns. Problems arise near or just beyond the 36,000 mile warranty limit despite the vehicle being under the 36-month bumper to bumper warranty at the time of complaint.
- Seatbelt retractor failure. Rear passenger bucket seat retractors on both driver and passenger sides do not release, preventing passengers from buckling their seatbelts.
- Loud brake noise. Brakes produce a very loud squeaking sound persisting since the vehicle was new.

The car stalled and is stuck in park. It has electronic shift and if the engine doesn't run it has to be put into neutral manually. The Buick dealerships don't know how to do this and keep referring me to an obsolete video. One service representative suggested the manual lever is under the air filter housing but they cannot provide any information on this design, The car is stuck in a garage and cannot be towed. It is stuck in place.
