BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain BMW motorcycle dealer accessory side cases, designed to fit R1300 GS motorcycles, with part number: 77 41 9 444 361/362. The side case latch hooks may not snap properly into the lock, which can result in the case lid opening, and possibly detaching from the motorcycle.
Risk: A side case lid that detaches or the case contents that fall out, can create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
