Air bag inflators used as interim remedy parts may explode after exposure to heat and humidity, posing serious injury or death risk. Dealers will replace the driver air bag or inflator free of charge. This recall began March 11, 2020.
  • HVAC System Wiring Overheating. Recall 17V676000 includes 702,965 vehicles including the 335D. Wiring controlling air flow for heating and air conditioning may overheat, causing connectors to melt and raising fire risk, even when the vehicle is parked. The original steering wheel may have been replaced with a sport or M-sport steering wheel equipped with an inflator that can explode during deployment.
