2015 AUTOCAR XSPOTTER Complaints and Recall Information
The 2015 AUTOCAR XSPOTTER has 0 complaints and 8 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to engine stalling, braking system deficiencies, and lighting malfunctions based on recall patterns from this model year.
There are eight recalls involving various systems on the 2015 AUTOCAR XSPOTTER. These recalls address defects in fuel filters, engine crankcase pressure, tire labeling, air brake systems, parking brake components, headlight relays, and steering linkages.
Recalls- Fuel system defect. Recall 14V512000 affects 19 vehicles. The Fleetguard UFF-XT fuel filter shells may separate from the fuel filter nut plate, causing the engine to stall suddenly, increasing crash risk. Cummins service centers will replace the faulty fuel filters free of charge.
- Engine crankcase pressure. Recall 15V281000 involves 41 vehicles equipped with Cummins Westport ISL G engines. Excessive crankcase pressure can detach the vent tube elbow allowing engine oil onto hot surfaces, raising fire risk. Repairs include securing the elbow and reprogramming the ECM, performed free of charge.
- Incorrect tire label. Recall 25V451000 covers 195 vehicles from 2012 to 2025. The tire inflation information label is incorrect, failing FMVSS 110 compliance and risking underinflated tires. Autocar will mail corrected labels at no cost.
- Air brake system. Recall 25V449000 affects 49 vehicles from 2015 to 2022. Air tanks have insufficient air volume, causing reduced brake function and increased stopping distances. Dealers will inspect and add or replace air tanks free of charge once parts become available.
- Parking brake release. Recall 23V023000 covers 11,353 vehicles from 2010 to 2020. A worn parking brake control valve may leak air, causing unexpected brake release and potential rollaway crashes. Dealers will remove the vent line and fitting at no cost.
- Headlight relay failure. Recall 19V922000 includes 3,448 vehicles from 2015 to 2020. The headlamp relay may disconnect from the fuse box, shutting off headlights and reducing visibility. Dealers will install a relay retainer free of charge.
- Electrical system defect. Duplicate of recall 19V922000, affecting the same 3,448 vehicles with identical defects and remedies related to the headlight relay disconnect.
- Steering linkage assembly. Recall 16V723000 affects 1,132 vehicles produced between 2015 and 2017. Castle nuts on the steering linkage may be improperly tightened, risking cotter pin failure and loss of steering. Repairs will be completed free of charge at authorized service centers.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs, safety defects, or unresolved recall issues may have rights under their state’s lemon law and should consider consulting a qualified attorney or consumer protection resource for guidance.
