- Wheel arch trim fasteners. Recall 19V416000 with 126,161 vehicles involves loosening of the wheel arch cover trim. The detached trim can cause a hazard on the road. Dealers will add an additional screw and nut to secure the trim, free of charge. The recall started July 26, 2019.
- Gateway control module liquid ingress. Recall 21V947000 covers 288,991 vehicles including 2018-2022 SQ5 models. Liquid spills or water entering through an underbody seam may penetrate the gateway control module causing shutdown and sudden engine power loss, increasing crash risk. Dealers will install a protective cover and seal the body seam as needed. Notifications began January 21, 2022.
- Brake master cylinder casting length. Recall 19V277000 affects 12,645 vehicles. Some brake master cylinders may have a casting that is too short, potentially causing sudden brake loss. The electronic parking brake remains functional. Dealers will inspect and replace the master cylinder if necessary. Recall started May 3, 2019.
- Brake caliper piston coating. Recall 18V369000 impacts 10,225 vehicles. Inadequate coating on brake caliper pistons may reduce braking performance. Owners were advised not to drive until dealers completed brake bleeding. The recall began June 29, 2018.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Q5 Sportback, SQ5 Sportback, 2018-2022 Q5, and SQ5 vehicles. A liquid spill in the rear seat, or water ingress from an insufficient body seam underneath the vehicle may allow liquid to penetrate the gateway control module, causing it to shutdown.
Risk: A gateway control module shutdown will suddenly reduce engine power, increasing the risk of a crash.
