The 2014 AUDI S7 has 2 complaints and 3 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues with the ECU control module causing the vehicle to randomly not start or shut down while driving. These malfunctions occur on roads, freeways, and during maneuvers such as U turns.

Common Issues
  • ECU control module failure. The vehicle may randomly fail to start or shut down unexpectedly while in operation, which can occur on various road conditions and poses safety risks. Replacement parts are often on backorder for weeks.

There are three recalls affecting multiple systems including the fuel delivery system, tire information labeling, and passenger airbag occupant sensing. These recalls address potential fire hazards, incorrect load capacity information, and airbag deployment issues.

Recalls
  • Fuel system leak risk. NHTSA recall 13V450000 affects 3,594 vehicles. A fuel line manufactured with tolerance issues may leak fuel, increasing fire risk. Dealers will replace the fuel line free of charge. No "Do Not Drive" or "Park Outside" advisory issued.
  • Tire label error. Recall 18V096000 covers 3,543 vehicles. The tire information label incorrectly states the combined maximum weight, which could lead to vehicle overloading and elevated crash risk. Dealers will replace the tire label at no cost.
  • Passenger airbag sensor malfunction. Recall 18V370000 includes 139,249 vehicles. Wear or stress on the front passenger seat sensor mat may cause the airbag detection system to malfunction, preventing proper airbag deployment. A repair kit will be installed free of charge by dealers.

Owners with repeated ECU problems, safety defects, or unresolved recall repairs may have rights under their state lemon laws. Consulting legal resources can assist in addressing ongoing vehicle issues.
