  • Fuel and Brake Lines. Recall 24V644000 impacts 623 vehicles where improperly secured fuel or brake lines can become damaged and leak. Brake fluid leaks may cause brake failure and fuel leaks near ignition sources risk fire. Altec will provide inspection instructions and repair or secure lines free of charge. Owners were contacted January 23, 2025.
  • Hydraulic Hoses. Recall 24V743000 involves 37 2024 AT200A aerial trucks with inadequate clearance between hydraulic hoses and the engine exhaust manifold. Overheating hoses pose a fire hazard. Altec will install a remedy kit to reposition hoses away from the exhaust manifold free of charge. Letters were sent November 22, 2024.

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020 TA Series, 2019 L Series Aerial Device, 2018-2025 Service Body, LS Series, and AT Series trucks. The Power Distribution Module (PDM 10) circuit may experience a voltage spike, which can damage the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) and disrupt chassis functions, including the PTO switch, rearview mirror, or rearview camera.

Risk: A damaged TCCM and disrupted chassis functions can result in a loss of handling and control or brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
