2024 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA Complaints and Recall Information
The 2024 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA has 4 complaints and 4 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report failures of the forward looking sensors causing immediate loss of Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision warning systems, and Lane Departure Warnings. Another complaint involves the sunroof shattering unexpectedly while driving, creating a safety hazard.
Common Issues
- Sensor failure. The forward looking sensors fail suddenly causing Adaptive Cruise Control with Full Stop and Forward Collision warning lamps to illuminate orange. Cruise Control and Forward Collision warnings cease functioning immediately.
- Lane Departure Warning failure. This feature stops working alongside the sensor failures. Warning lamps appear at the time these systems fail, without prior alerts.
- Repeated dealer repairs. Dealers have attempted repairs for the sensor issues three times, with no resolution reported.
- Sunroof shattering. The sunroof exploded without external impact while driving, causing a loud noise and loss of vehicle control. A warranty claim was denied despite low mileage and recent purchase.
There are 4 recalls affecting various systems on the 2024 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA. Recalls involve tire information labels, front seat belts, and air bag deployment systems.
Recalls
- Tire information labels. (NHTSA recall 24V512000) Incorrect tire pressure and size information on the tire placard and manufacturer labels affects 9,037 vehicles. The incorrect information may lead to under-inflated tires or mounting wrong size tires, increasing crash risk. FCA will mail corrected labels and dealers will install them for free.
- Seat belt buckle sensor. (NHTSA recall 24V510000) A defective seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing front seat air bags from deploying correctly. This defect affects 337,128 vehicles and increases injury risk in a crash. Dealers will repair the connection at no charge.
- Frontal air bags. (NHTSA recall 24V510000) The same improper connection issue with the seat belt buckle switch sensor also affects frontal air bag deployment. The fix is included in the seat belt recall repair at no cost to owners.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs related to safety system malfunctions or unresolved recall issues may have rights under their state’s lemon law and should consult with a qualified attorney for guidance.

While driving the car all of a sudden the sunroof completely exploded with no rocks hitting it or any other object. The explosion was so loud and unexpected that it caused me to swerve and nearly hit a car to my side and ahead of me. I attempted calling the closest dealership as well as premium care Alfa and they denied the warranty claim when the car was purchased brand new last year in 2024 and has under 15,000 miles. I believe this is a strong safety concern and at this point I would like to not even keep a car that could cause me to get into a fatal accident and while having no support whatsoever from the dealership or Alfa’s support.
