Bluecar SAS (Bluecar) is recalling certain model year 2016 Bluecar hybrid-electric vehicles manufactured June 7, 2015, to September 11, 2015. The affected vehicles have a gear shift lever that may break preventing the car from maintaining the intended gear position.
Risk: If the gear shift lever breaks, the vehicle may become immobilized, increasing the risk of a crash.

Risk: An uncontrolled engine shutdown may increase the risk of a crash.

The power train software of the affected vehicles may shut down power to the car after certain driving conditions such as high acceleration with immediate release of the accelerator, or harsh braking action.
